I know if your on these forums there is a good chance you go to as many games as you can but man do we need to fill up that place. I went to the game tonight and there was only around 22,000 people there for a 1st place team.

I do not know what the dbacks can do to get the casual fans out there so we can support this team. Any suggestions?

make my couch not so comfortable & my TV not so clear.

honestly I dont know how people who have normal jobs and familys goto these games regularly (including the suns, and im a die hard suns fan). theres just not enough time or money to do this (for me at least).

i personally just goto a few games of each every season and am more than happy to relax at home watching the games.

The D'Backs lost me a long time ago when the ushers were told to make sure that no one moved seats during the game including the last few innings.

stupid evil franchise making sure people sit in the seats they paid for..........................

i've seat hopped plenty, but never took offense by being told to go back to a different section

btw, people still do this - last game I was at the row in front of me kept changing throughout the entire game, i've also bought cheap uppers and moved to the upper section above the plate - as long as you don't get too greedy it shouldn't be an issue

exactly, Ive moved seats plently of times. But if you seat hop and get caught then you go back to you seat (or at least out of that ushers sight). Its a joke to boycott dbacks games because of this.

Yea People still regularly move seats towards the end of games. and they have quite a few promos, they talk about it all the time on TV. (ironic?)

I think they should try more 5:00 games during the week, maybe 5:30ish. many people dont want to go to bed late.

With nearly every game televised without a blackout, it is hard to make people pay for something they can get for free. I try to go to a couple games a month, but I just don't think I can do much more than that.

Nothing beats the atmosphere of a home game for a first-place team. Get out there people!

I more than agree to a point, but I don't think it's a stretch to think that 30,000-35,000 s/b there every night. That's how it used to be. This is a really fun team to watch, and they're in first place for heaven's sake.

Ratings are up though on TV though. People are paying attention, just not many are going to the park. I was at the game last night, and it was pretty sad to see the turnout, granted it was the Pirates in town in the middle of the week, but still.

Go out to the park.

Get rid of the stupid between-inning MCs, especially that broad with the shrill voice.

We need gimmicks like bring your dog to the park day. I like sleep at the ball park day, I would actually go if I didn't have the fear of being molested by another person while I slept.

I don't know, but I love Mark Grace calling out people for it, even if I'm one of them...I wish I could go to more than my 1 or 2 home games a year. At least I buy a lot of D-Backs stuff when I can. :-/

Holy Crap!

There is a guy on D-Backs Live right now that attended every single D-Backs home game. Tonight is game #800 for him. That is amazing.

He even stayed for 5.5 innings on the night of is daughter's graduation because he says that is an official game.

Amazing.

Wish we had more of him.

They actually called him the iron man when they presented him with a jersey with #1 on it. #1 fan. Maybe crazy flag lady will give him a run for that title, but few others will.

Ugh, don't get me started on her. She is rude and sin with that flag. No consideration for people behind her.

Is there anyone behind her? She sits at the top level and when they show her there are plenty of empty seats around.

I would go if they were in Tucson... Too many transplanted fans from other cities. Chicago especially. Bring in Carlos Zambrano, DLee, or Aramis Ramirez who they had previously been rooting for. A lot of arizona fans also really liked Gonzo, and when he was gone this season and the Dbacks were struggling for a bit, I think a lot of fans lost interest. I think a lot of people are starting to become interested in Byrnes, Hudson, and Upton, but we need another arm other than Webb. I would only go to a webb or Micah Owings pitched game as of right now.

Dont get me wrong I really didnt like Gonzo after about the 2003 season, but alot of people still looked at him as the franchise. On top of that the Arizona organization kind of spit on the fans by getting rid of Schilling and Johnson so close together for Richie Sexson and then following that up with Vazquez and others who just were not good. Then this season I thought they were screwed because of Carlos Quentin, but Chris Young, Byrnes and O-Dog saved this season....

By the way, O-Dog is the worst nickname in all of sports.

When I got into many a confrontations with her she was in the 40th row on the 3rd baseline.... unless there are multiple flag ladies. Maybe she finally got my hint. This lady was from Tucson and I was stuck behind her for a whole season
