Ruben had potential, but his first cd didn't do so well, he didn't give his already large fan base what they really wanted. Kimberley Locke, still struggling. I liked all of the top 4 that year of AI. Josh Gracin (#4) now has a country album out that is doing AWESOME! I have listened to or bought all of the cd's for the top 4. Ruben's cd, it's a coaster for my coffee table as far as I'm concerned. (I actually gave it away.) Clay's cd gets played A LOT in my house. So does Josh's and Kimberley's! Lately, I've actually been playing Josh's more than Clay's! :SHOCK:
At least Josh looks and sounds manly. :semperfi:

I've only heard one song from Locke.. the 8th wonder of the world - I enjoy that song. As for Gracin, I am not a country music fan, so I don't know anything about it. I never watched any season other than 2. So I have no clue about any of them. I only started watching AI2 because channel 10 news had that contest and they sent that local girl, Rebecca Bond, to audition. Until I got married, I had always wanted to do something like that. Anyhow, I started watching the auditions to see Rebecca Bond, then heard Clay's audition and I was hooked! By the next week, I was like, "Rebecca Bond who?" I watched strictly for Clay. I just loved his voice! I truly didn't care WHAT he looked like! I heard that voice and I just melted!

American Idol star-turned-country star Josh Gracin has completed his military service with the U.S. Marines.
The patriotic "I Want to Live" singer received an honorable discharge 10 days early at the rank of lance corporal at California's Camp Pendleton Tuesday.
Gracin was a hit in the second American Idol competition, and almost had to give up his pop dreams twice on the show due to his military commitments.
