Green has watched tape on the team, Green has made observations, Green has come up with a conclusion. Without saying that a nice guy like McGinnis screwed up straight out, his actions and approach to this team so far is simple... the Cardinals have more talent than people think (McCown being one of them) and McGinnis and his staff totally failed in developing it and giving them a game plan that would put them in a position to win. You know what, I think Dennis Green is right. Players like Bryant, Fisher and even Michael Stone have been short changed and this is about to change. I trust Green and the upcoming draft picks.

I would like to hear Green's opinions on players like Stone. It's proably pretty hard to get a read on him because he was hurt and played very little under Mac.I wonder how many guys that can actually play that never got to see the field?

Regardless of what Jim O and others that were close say about Mac, when it came to the game of football Mac couldnt coach himself out of a wet paper bag.

And I think green will expose this. But much like the Boston giveaway no one on tv will speak up and say, you know what? Mac is a great guy and the cardinals did the right thing by booting him out of there.

Winners WIN!!

I'm much more comfortable w/ a "proven" (winner ie: Coach Green) than any asst. "wannabee's". A few "exceptions" to the rule?? Of course. BUT there's a reason WHY Washington is excited about Gibbs & Dallas is excited about Parcells. How many think Don Coryell would get another NFL coaching shot IF he came out of retirement?? Again, I am very comfortable w/Dennis Green. He won't settle or ANYTHING less than a winner!! GO CARDS!!

Kirwan at NFL.com did an analysis of the 1999 and 2000 drafts, and the Cards had the fewest picks still in football than any other teams save one:

Eleven of the 19 picks Arizona had in those two drafts don't make a living playing football.

If you want to know why the Cards are bad, this is why.

Then there is a question as to whether D. Green is much better.

From the same article
Neither does 10 of Minnesota's 19 draft choices.

Don't let Vikesfan hear you say that. ;)

But the Vikes have been really bad the past two or three years, as well. The Vikes haven't been as bad as the Cards, IMO, because they had better talent to start with (Moss, Culpepper, etc.), kept some of that talent from leaving (unlike Boston, Plummer), and been much more successful in free agency.

First no GM is perfect they can have a bad year. The draft is a crapshoot in later rounds. What hurts a team is blown first round picks. DG did not have those. I have broken DG's drafts here several times player by player draft by draft. And showed clearly he is a great drafter. I am not going to do it again.
PFW said he was the best in the NFL from 1995-2000. Please name a better drafter then him over that time.

TENN and PHI has 8 gone and GB has 12 gone out of football. See what I mean? You cannot analyze using this standard. So because PHI has 3 or 2 more picks then the Cards or Vikes they are doing better in the NFL. Look at GB they have 1 more gone then the Cards. Silly!

They are doing pretty well the last few years aren't they.
Remember DG in 99 and 00 DG was drafting much much much higher then other teams like say the Cards.
In 99 at the end of round he grabbed a high level starter and in 00 he grabbed a pro-bowler. PLUS if team is good like MIN they will take flyers on players in later rounds.

This kind of microscopic ananlysis is silly and wrong. The Vikes have been bad because of coaching and not spending their cap properly.

I still believe we could/should have won 7-9 games last year.
