To be honest I was very worried about another Paxson situation, where all the focus would be on Kobe and we'd leave someone like Devean george open on the weak side. To a certain extent that did happen as Nash doubled down from smush but I think anybody would trust kobe's contested 2 than a wide open 3 from smush at that point in the game.

I thought it was going to Kobe's MJ v. Cleveland moment - then, I realized MJ lost Game 4 AT HOME, missing free throws at the end to win it and lost in regulation but scored 54 points anyway... then, it was in Game 5 - IN CLEVELAND, where he hit the shot... uh oh.

I told my wife, Kobe is going to take the shot. His ego wouldn't allow for another to do so... with that - He will miss it. Suns will find a way to ralley in OT. I just didn't realize they would storm the Lakers in OT.

Look, Kobe is amazing... but the devil still has to live in Hell. Not everything can go his way.

Actually, I thought Kobe would miss, but I thought the suns, 6 deep, would tire in the overtime, or marion would foul out, and they would lose. I am glad I was wrong.

i figured it would go to OT, but the Kobe-show would take over and the suns would run out of gas. Glad to be wrong!

In Kobe's press conference, he said that he didn't recognize that Marion was guarding him. Basically, that is a hard shot to take over Marion. He should have just attacked the rim, and gotten a layup. Much higher percentage, as Kobe's first step would whiz right by Marion.

But he recognized it too late, and had to arc it up too high on that shot, which is why he airballed it. If that was over Diaw, or anyone else, it would have been nothing but net.

I was thinking, oh no, Kobe's going to do it again! Before that when we were losing by 3 I was also very worried, especially after we missed that first shot but it all turned out good in the end. I was biting my nail till the end though, I was so nervous!
