A kid who gets booted from his team due to many many many failed drug tests is, by definition a me first kind of guy. Thank god he has apparently put that in his past.
Not really. It just means he liked to smoke pot.

I would of dragged my nuts through 10 miles of salt and broken glass for
Von Miller.
Have to agree with this. Has to be one those 3.I have a tough time imagining that it won't be either a QB, OT or OLB. Those are important positions that we have huge needs at.
Take Kouandjio first and trade back into round 1 and take Derek Carr.
Seriously, I'm not really sure why people are jumping off the boat right now. I thought this would be a five-win football team, but they might be a 7- or 8-win team when all is said and done. If we beat Atlanta, Houston, and Jacksonville, people are going to be booking tickets to New York for early February.
This team is just clearly outclassed by two of our divisional opponents, and about on the same level as the other team. Unlike Kolb/Skelton/Lindley, Palmer isn't getting worse every week; he's dependably average to below-average. You can work with that for a season.
This draft is going to look very different if we're drafting 14th instead of 7th. It's still way (way way) too early to tell where this team is going to end up.
Can we afford another first round QB bust?
Quick, name all of those guys we've drafted in rd 1 since 1988 which is 25 years?
Leinart.
Bust.
We have to hit on a 1st round QB. If we draft Johnny Football, he's got a high bust potential.
And again, we will be picking in the middle of the round, not up in the top 3.
Every time there are elite QBs that are "sure things" we are a middling team. We were in the running for Andrew Luck, and then ran off a meaningless 7 win streak to go 8-8 and get a middle round pick. The Cardinal way.
Which is exactly my point. Drafting 1 QB in rd 1 in 25 yrs & expecting to have a franchise QB or stability at the position is ridiculous...You have to roll the dice to get one.
This team has to somehow trade up at some point in the next 2 yrs to potentially acquire that guy or continue to struggle in mediocrity at best. Keim should identify the guy he likes & trade the necessary picks to get that guy or join the unemployment line. Harsh, but the reality of it.
Giving up 3 1st rounders or whatever is damn well worth the price if/when you hit on that QB!!! Without one, consistent winning never happens in these days of NFL football
As for Johnny Football, I like a lot of what he does and am scared to death he will be a massive failure if we draft him.
IMO, he's either going to hit hard in the NFL, or bust hard. No real middle ground that I see. Boom or bust, that's him. Can we afford another first round QB bust? Yeah, uber douche, but if he booms, he will be special.

I haven't seen Kouandjio projected as a RT. When you look at his size, reach, and athleticism, he's perfectly suited for LT in the NFL.Cyrus K right now is projected as a right tackle in the NFL he's kind of been a disappointment for all the talent he has. Anyone watch the kid from miami Seantrel Henderson? 6'8 340lbs. All kinds of talent but some legal troubles.
If not Bridgewater I want the local kid Taylor Lewan he's just mean

It only takes one. Sets you back years and years and years.
