That would not surprise then what if Murray gets another coach GM and all of a sudden he is out the door because the new coach wants "His" guy and from what I've read Murray isnt adaptable to many other systems then we will have wasted Yet another 1st round pick
“What I’ve heard . . . “ from all your NFL and collegiate sources? I’ve heard this from all of no sources I’ve read. None.

telling the Oakland As he was "all in" on baseball and then flipping to go"all in" on football when he found out he was possible Rd 1 choice.
As a young man starting what is on average a short career in sports, I’ll repeat the question posed by a previous poster . . . what’s wrong with that?

Signing a contract to play baseball and then changing his mind shows me his "all-in" is conditional to his and only his advantage .
Because the sports world is littered with guys who haven’t earned a buck yet acting in the team’s best interest . . .

Isn't this money criticism the same for Bosa but worse. Just shut down playing football to protect his draft stock and his money

I guess it's a double standard

An excellent point!! And how many players, like WR N'Keal Harry, no longer play in their college bowl games.

Rosen got $18M fully guaranteed. You don't think Murray is expecting more than that? Mayfield got $32M guaranteed.

Your brand as an NFL QB can be worth more way more from endorsement deals than a guy playing in the minors for who knows how long.

When he got a 2nd or 3rd round draft grade initially the baseball money was looking better, so he took it. Once his team got his hype up and was looking like top 5 the money from NFL started looking much better so he changed his mind.

I have no problem chasing the most money, just be honest about it and just know that if he doesn't get a top pick your pick might end up wasted. Likewise are we desperate enough to spend 30M+ for a QB will some significant question marks? I don't think we are right now.
Well said and if he doesn't get that much guaranteed what's to stop to all of a sudden decide qell football really isnt for me so I got this guaranteed money from the A's and that's whether I play or not

Explain why he put all that baseball money at risk to play football last year where he wouldn’t earn a penny?

Because Murray already signed a huge contract with the As.He already had a contract. He had a nearly 5 million contract. He received 1.6 Million so far the little QB had part of the cash already .He does have to pay part back because of going "all-in" to Football and leaving Oakland hanging. as long as he didn't have a baseball career ending injury he was getting paid.So acting like his motives are for the "love of the sport" sounds like a steamy pile to me.If baseball offered the most dollars that's where he would be " all-in".

Nonsense.Murray had a signed contract with Oakland and he bailed .That's what I question. What's to stop him from bailing again if he does on like the situation. He has no problem breaking contracts or transferring.

Read what you just wrote. He chose to play football - a game for which he wasn’t getting paid and is notorious for career ending injuries - when he didn’t have to and would have secured millions. In other words you’re saying - according to your own words - that putting his payday at risk to play football for free is a steamy pile. Your logic makes no sense.

Oakland knew the risk.. just like the next NFL franchise that drafts him will. So what? Any one of these players could lose passion for the game over the years.. like alot of players do in the NFL, because the business side ruins it for em. That could be Bosa, Williams or even Murray.. then they all become a lost draft pick...whether they are still on the field or not. Let's just flip a coin and call it good.

Not at all... Bosa isn't going to play baseball if he doesn't get a top pick. He's going to play football no matter what.

I don't care if players make decisions on what makes them the most coin. Murray is a liability because not only does he have an exit strategy if the NFL draft doesn't work like he wants but he also has shown his commitment can change with the wind. Good for him for being in that position. Not going to be good for either the NFL team who takes or the As. One of those two is losing a draft pick this year.

I've been asking of there is any tape at all of Murray doing 3,5, or 7 step drops from under center so far none have surfaced all been from shotgun type formarions

I said as long as he did not have a injury that ended his baseball career he was getting paid. But I thought Murray was do damned great and elusive he would not have to worry about ever getting hit .Do you really think that if Murray thought he would have a chance of getting hurt that he would have played football.I think he saw a team that was loaded and the class of the Big 12 and liked his odds.Do I think he would have played football if Okie U.was a bottom feeder.. no I don't.

Bah this is silliness. Every single player who had this option - wait, what? KYLER IS THE FIRST EVER TO BE IN THIS POSITION?!? Must be some kind of athlete . . .

Finishing my thought, anyone that could ever find themselves in similar position would do the same. If Bo hadn’t blown out his knee think the raiders would’ve been upset? Think any team was upset with Deion?

His pro day he had to show from under center. Just like every other QB coming into the draft from a similar offense. You know, like Baker mayfield.

I see it differently.I see a contract that was signed.I see a player who reneged his contract.Who gives a flying sh*t about Deion..... He is not a potential draft pick of the Cards.

Sorry, done arguing with you because now you’re just ignoring the basis of the argument. He DID risk everything to play football without getting paid. That is just a fact. You’re choosing to ignore that because it doesn’t support your narrative. There are other things to question Murray on. You’ve failed miserably in trying to spin this false narrative effectively.

Beg your pardon but Bo Knows Brian Jordan Deon Sanders he is very far from the first in fact those guys Did it!! Bo actually had a hip condition too so he probably would not have been to play much longer than he did But Man what a Talent Remember Him very well watching him run for those long touchdowns then smack a 500 foot homer for Kc even I loved it and I hate both teams

Did he have a sprained neck?
Not Really. Here is part of the article from the Az Republic:

N’Keal Harry’s shining Arizona State career is over.

The Sun Devils’ star junior wide receiver will not play in ASU’s Las Vegas Bowl on December 15 against No. 19 Fresno State. Harry has signed with an agent and will instead begin preparing for the NFL Draft, where he is expected to be selected as high as the first round.

Two days after the Sun Devils’ win over Arizona last month, Harry announced at a special press conference that he would be foregoing his senior season of eligibility to turn pro, but that he had not made an official decision on whether or not he would slip on the maroon and gold one more time.
