.........comes around. Every year, come January, I turn to this Board to find out which College players will translate to being good Pro players, and it's just another reason why this Board is so great, and every day I say a prayer for Skkorp. Well this January, I came away with the impression that Robert Quinn would be the Cards' pick. By the time February and March rolled around Von Miller moved to the head of the (Cards) class. But now in mid-April it looks like we won't have a shot at Miller, though I'll keep my fingers crossed. Blaine Gabbert is a possibility along with Patrick Peterson, but if we can't get Miller, I'm going back to Robert Quinn. Like I said, what goes around.

OR you could trade back a few spots and possibley still get Quinn. So if Gabbath, Peterson and Quinn are still there at 5 and Tenn wants to trade that would be a temping thing.

That's the way the draft process works: The talking heads get rolling and move people up and down draft boards for four months, and after all the dust settles a couple of prospects have moved up (J.J. Watt, Cameron Heyward) and a couple of prospects have moved down (DaQuan Bowers, Nick Fairley) but pretty much everyone is right back where they started.

If 80% or more of a prospect's grade is based on game film, and the post-draft process only confirms what is present on film, then nothing should really change except on the margins, which is what we saw.

If I had to guess right now, I think that the Cards end up with Robert Quinn after Von Miller goes off the board early, but Blaine Gabbert is still on the board. Blaine Gabbert would look very nice as a Washington Redskin.

The worst of all worlds: We give up our #5 to Washington for Kolb and Washington drafts Gabbert with our #5 piick who immediately becomes a successful starter for Washington. Is this even remotely possible? I would die in my sleep.

Washington doesn't own the rights to Kolb, so that can't happen. We don't want McNabb, and wouldn't give up the #5 for him anyway.

I agree. Good explanation of the process. Robert Quinn was the guy we heard about early in the process (December/January) as a player the Cardinals really liked. Once we roll around to April 28th, I wouldn't be surprised if Robert Quinn is a Cardinal.
