What happened to Metallica

Everything after Master of Puppets was watered down.
They got ambitious on AJFA, but they BURIED the bass guitar - was everyone in the studio high on cocaine???
The Black Album was bland, everything after was them turning into a rawk band.

If Jason Newsed was my bass player, I would bury the bass too.

My biggest problem with Justice was definately how it was mixed. The drum sound is terrible on that album, the bass drum sounds like someone taking their finger and tapping it on a plastic bowl. Still, I liked the songs enough that I just deal with the recording. The only reason I don't like the Black Album is because it contains Nothing Else Matters, which was Metallica's official death.

BOO! Terrible joke. If you have never heard Doomsday For The Deceiver by Flotsam and Jetsam with Newsted on bass, then I'll give you a pass, but if you have heard Doomsday and you still believe what you said, then boo on you!!!!

Actually, it was a joke. I have that album and it kicks ass. Newsted is a talented bass player, I just don't feel he was a good fit with Metallica. He was much better in Flotsam.
