The attitude comes from the out of staters calling out the people in the seats.
BULL----.

Sorry if it annoys us that the hometown fans are just pathetic as a whole, not our fault and not your fault personally, but the fact remains. The majority of the people in the seats SUCK. I have never heard a quieter crowd, especially on 3rd down situations when you see next to nobody even standing. Again, not insulting ANYONE on this board, but there is no need for you to stick up for your Aizona brethren here. If anyone is to blame, it's Bill B.

I don't think what you say it true. I was at the NYG game, it was plenty loud.

We were louder than the Vikings fans until the game got out of hand. We caused false starts more than once. They weren't even making noise until the second half. I remember thinking that they have such a big turnout but are quiet on 3rd down. Then the Vikings started running away with the game and Jared Allen started pumping up the Vikings fans there.

How is it BULL----? I called out DoTheDew for saying-
...but the mass ticket scalping by you Cardinal fans in AZ certainly made matters worse. Way to give up the 12th man.
Key word being "you".
That's calling me out. That's calling the people on this board out.

So just opening the roof (same field, same everything else) will make Warner and the whole team fall apart?

THIS IS THE WHOLE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you guys in ARZ may not know any better but there is NEVER and excuse for the visiting fans to be heard, much less drown out the homefeilders!!!! NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Minnesota is half the country away from Arizona and they are not a major market team.

I went to the Ravens game against Pittsburgh Sunday night. Pittsburgh is 2-3 hrs from Baltimore and this is their biggest roiad game of the year. Their fans are also known to be the best travlers and followers of their team. There was not a millisecond, where any of them could be heard in the stadium. If they didn't wave those yellow flags I wouldn't have known there were any in attendance.

Baltimore fans are nothing special either (for the most part they are traitor ex-skin fans, half-assed Colts fans or just losers from the Baltimore/Dundalk area) this is just the norm that for some reason Arizona Cardinal fans have never been able to approach.

Excuse me for not knowing how to be a fan. I stayed to the end like every game and yelled all game. You use an example of a well established team being in the game to the last second. How loud would those Steelers fans be if they were taking an ass pounding? Try not to be so damned condescending.

True, but clearly you don't know much about Arizona. Arizona is a transplant town, especially from the midwest. There are lots of transplants from Minny who get to see their team, what, once every 3 years or so? Go to a D-Backs game against the Cubs, if the Cards game made you sick wait until you see the loser transplants from Chicago.

The viking fans in my section were cheering & screaming when they had the ball.

The guy sitting next to me kept yelling at the top of his lungs "Purple Jesus!!!". At first I thought that he was calling a play, like Purple Jesus was a crossing pattern, or a run off-tackle or something, but he screamed it at totally random times so I didn't figure that was it.

Finally, I turned to him toward the end of the game when he yelled it once again and asked him, "Considering the number of times you've screamed "Jesus!", would you just cum already?"

The game was in Baltimore first of all, and the Steelers fans couldn't have gotten very loud because there was only a few hundred in the entire stadium. Also, I understand the Cardinal fans leaving this game, but this has been a trend for 20 years. AGAIN, NOT BLAMING YOU--I AM BLAMING THE ORGANIZATION AND SPECIFICALL BILL BIDWILL.

I do not see where this is important enough for so many caps.

You live in Maryland. Don't you know that people in hot climates are more laid back than in colder climes. Arizona is way hotter than Baltimore.

I live in Texas where its 95 with 70% humidity in September and the heat during the tailgate in Arizona still wears on me. We're cooking ourselves along with the bratwurst.

It takes me until the 2nd quarter to have had enough cold drinks to get up the energy to make noise.

Yesterday was also a big improvement over the Vikings game in 2003. They outnumbered the Car*s fans 4 to 1 at that game. We deserve credit for that.

:D

Seriously, the new stadium rocks with noise. If you think that the fans who actually go don't get into the game you are wrong.

Just for clearance I wasn't calling out the people on this board I'm sure all of you are dedicated fans. I meant the community in AZ clearly doesn't care that much. You guys are the exception otherwise I wouldn't visit this board.

...and just for clearance it pisses us the hell off too when people sell their seats or give them away. It sucks being your home stadium watching these asshats celebrate.

Win and then people start caring - it's not science

at least 25% of the stadium is held by brokers

Phoenix is a transplant town and vacation destination - especially in the winter - the cards have also marketed for years directly to this crowd ......... get out of the cold and come down and watch some football

also we are on a bit of a geographical island as far as football - a fan in harrisburgh could easily see the steelers, browns, eagles or ravens and have it be a comfortable length day trip

we don't have that here - if you are an out of market fan or transplant it's not exactly like you have an easy option to go see them every year

so when teams like the vikings, packers, giants, etc come into town all those transplants who haven't been able to watch their team for years really want to go

az fans see it as 1 of 8 and nothing special - so the amount they are willing to pay is a lot less then the out of market people who see this as an occasion

the broker will get more $$ from the vikes fans than the cards fans because it's a bigger event and worth more to the viking fans

also anyone who is saying there isn't a large following for minnesota teams here is plain clueless to the population of phoenix

there is a reason why the gophers are in the insight bowl again, there is a reason why the gophers are playing basketball at UoP, there's a reason why the twins interleague games down here are packed with twins fans ......... there is an insane transplant population here and friends & family love visiting when the weather is nice

Uh yeah, since when is it any secret that as a whole, Cards fans have sucked the last twenty years?? Also, I never said all of the fans sucked, just the majority.

I understand the Cardinal fans leaving this game, but this has been a trend for 20 years. AGAIN, NOT BLAMING YOU--I AM BLAMING THE ORGANIZATION AND SPECIFICALL BILL BIDWILL.

Now I'm really confused. First we suck, then we don't suck. So which is it?

Yes, the fans have sucked for the most part I just dont blame them. Bidwill made them that way by putting crap quality on the field and letting them fry in the skillet-like college stadium that they were forced to watch the games in.

MD, this may be time for a Brian Fantana "Take it easy, Champ. Why don't you sit this next one out, stop talking for a while. " This out of towner/local fan rift is just stupid.

In addition, knowing your limited knowledge of AZ and the fan experience, it would seem a bit difficult for you to really grasp it from the opposite side of the country.

It is what it is. Nothing to lose sleep over. We're all dissapointed with the last 4 weeks, but let's at least try not to turn on ourselves. I plan to enjoy seeing the Cards host a playoff game and hopefully things will get better in the coming years.
