Why not let Knight go as a free agent (addition by subtraction)? We have a number of candidates for a legitimate starting "2" right on our roster.

Because that would mean we traded away 2 first round picks (Ennis & LAL pick) and a 26 year old big on a cheap contract (Plumlee) for 2 months of Knight.

I don't think the FO would admit such a failure.

I didn't like trading so much for another damn PG then and I don't like it any better now.

But that would take giving up on the 2- or 3-Point Guard Tweener concept that symbolizes the regime of McDonough/Hornacek. The only way that is going to change is if they also move on.

McDonough made that clear when he said that, as long as he is GM, the Suns are going to have two starting Point Guards.

As far as Bledsoe leading the team as Point Guard, that is a different matter. As spectacular as he is from time to time, for him to do his thing at the Point consistently, the Suns would need a superstar like LeBron or Kobe running the offense from their position.

McDonough is locked into Bledsoe as our starting Point Guard. Once again, the only way that is going to change is if he and Hornacek move on.

Tinkering with those two concepts is not going to take us to the next step. It will only leave the Suns in the netherland. Sarver has to grow a pair or else that is what will happen.

Fans use that phrase too often. Talent is cash in the NBA. You don't get richer by giving away money. If the market is there, trade him for an upgrade at forward or center. If the market isn't there, create one by letting him showcase his skills on the court. He's too good and we are too far from being a contender to just dump him.

I hope the Suns realize that that this 2 PG crap does not work and that we're finally playing well with some actual size at both SG (6'6 Tucker) and SF (6'8 Marcus).

No more forcing a PG into play the 2 please!

I think your recent posts on this thread express the frustration of many of us.

(1) We play better with a more traditional and stronger lineup.
(2) But we're stuck with the current roster because of previous trades.
(3) But we don't like the current roster (overloaded with tweener Guards).
(4) But the Front Office will keep justifying their failure.

I vote for (1) and (3). Forget the water under the bridge, instead of remaining a prisoner to it. Whatever happened in the past happened.

Move on to what will work best. And if the FO fights it, replace them.

And if the Owner doesn't have the cojones to say, "I care about the future, not the past.", we'll be stuck with (2) and (4). As we are right now.
