What is Amare doing? It's a transition play and he's clueless (along with Frye and his pathetic attempt to play defense). Only J-Rich actually paid attention in this play. To make it worse Amare almost drew a pathetic foul by grabbing Cunningham's leg while he goes up for the dunk. This is a great example on the brainless play of Amare.

Is this really thread worthy? I dont see the point you are trying to make.Maybe he shouldn't have had is back turned on that play but there is no way he was in a defensive position to stop that dunk. Frye has a better chance of deflecting the pass but Amare would be stupid to try blocking that dunk (since taking a charge was out of the question)with his positioning.Obviously Amare and Jrich were more concerned about Lemarcus, who has been doing most of the damage all night..

Stop ragging on the SUNS defense.:D

The Suns defense is basically dependent on the Suns bench players having a good night except for Lopez and some contributions from Grant Hill.

Did I say Robin Lopez?

Is the point not as obvious when the title reads, What is Amare doing? Amare was guarding air, he wasn't worried about LeMarcus or anyone lol.

Why don't you take a swipe at Dragic on the play as he caused the turnover? What about Frye for not being more agressive? Who was the 5th player on the court (Dudley???), he never even made it into the camera's view?

Yeah, Amare should have turned around and been more aware. Other players screwed up there too. Call them all out.

My point exactly, this is a team ball. What you see there is a bad transition defense by all on the court. bad as it may, Amare and jRich even did a better job than the rest guys making it down the court with Aldridge

You claim Amare is not guarding Lemarcus, dont you think if he was free Blake would have passed him the ball.
Either way you slice it, Amare was still the best Suns player on the court that night; rebound and points.

Amare amare amare amare amare. that's all we get from you.

Wonder why...hmmmm.. even in games he plays well he is negative in the +/- . Actually ya I do diss Amare a lot, I love the guy but its painful to see his defense and dumbness. He's so athletic which lets him dominate guys offensively but defensively its just ownage. I blame Pringles for all of it!

Well since you complain that I only diss Amare , how about Nash's pathetic effort trying to double team a guy (which never helps), leaving his man wide open for a three or to penetrate and further break down an easy defense to crack. :mulli:

I won't get on Dragic, he's young and he has talent so I'll live with his mistakes.

Amare isn't young and doesn't have talent?

Nash was far worse than Amare against Portland, but I guess it's easier to pick on Amare.

Which is exactly why he needs to be traded: the fans are done with him.

Since Amare is great offensively not defensively you say his fans are done with him. I'm a fan and I'm not done, but he does frustrate on routine defense and rebounding a lot of the time. However he makes game changing blocks too. Highlights that I like to see. And you can't replace his offense with one player. Many times he takes his defender and a help defender to the hoop on plays that were definitely one on one, not Nash assisted gimme dish-offs. He creates his own shots and has one of the best jumpshots inside the 3 point line. But let's trade him for a better defender and forget about the offense. Sarcasm.

Oh I agree that he is an excellent player and frankly I'd be fine if they didn't trade him. But fans are continually harping on the same stuff and bitching about the same mistakes when it's obvious he's not going to fix those issues.

He can't win here with public perception no matter what he does (case in point: he has a good game, team loses, so people look at his mistakes in the game instead of other places)
