I know, it's Marcus Davenport. Allows Keim to avoid the quarterback position again, allows him to make everyone think he knows something they do not, small school prospect with potential... it's so Keim, it's ridiculous :)

Who’s a tweener that most people say will either have to convert positions and has motor issues?

Whoever that is will be the pick.

Any OLman who is a total bust, gets hurt and never plays a down for us when 100%, or we play out of his natural position getting only a fraction of his true talent out of him before trading him for a 5th or 6th round pick..

It doesn't matter what position they play! Keim will find that rising, ceiling busting, shooting star, player that will end up being mediocre to bust.

Remember all the threads on other fan sites that get linked to here so you can smugly say "insert team here's fans are losing their minds!!!" ???

Welcome to that thread for Niner, Hawk, and Ram fans.

Perfect Sk pick -Orlando Brown OT-"we think his combine was a blip on the radar and he has the NFL pedigree and can come in and win the right tackle position and solidify that position for years..Yadda,yadda,yadda:talk::talk::talk:

Round 1 for Keim comes from a big school and likely a power 5 conf. Keims round 1 guys: ACC, PAC 12, SEC, SEC, and Last year, A10

Whomever he picks, the terms "athleticism" and "high character" will be used in the first sentence

Joking aside, in Keim's case, an instant impact guy who will start as a rookie would be perfect because he has to change his philosophy. A big school kid with more than one good year of production.

McGlinchey, Alexander or Kirk for the sake of answering the question. I know ARZ signed Smith but I think McGlinchey would win the RT job at some point in his rookie year. Smith's deal does not guarantee he starts, he is only making $4M a year so it's not a waste of money if he's a back up.

Wrong, because unlike those guys we actually do not have an overt sense of insecurity to bother what they think. The Ram and Seahawk fans even post threads of what other fans think of them, we do not :)

To be fair, I can’t think of any Keim early round picks off the top of my head, besides Bustdiche, who had motor concerns.

If there was a viable reason to move Marcus Davenport from his natural position as a 4-3 DE in college to an OLB, then he would be a very sterotypical Keim pick. He is a late riser. He has good testing skills. He is a senior. The other option is Tavan Bryan and moving him to DE.

In reality, unless we trade back, I'm guessing that most will be happy with who we get at 15. Our biggest issue will be if we trade down, and miss on some chance to get the building block type player that we need. Our depth isn't bad on our roster. Our issues are a lack of more top end players.

The other area that terrifies me is that Vita Vea might be the best option available, but he would be positioned behind Corey Peters who is our best DT on the roster right now. Because of that, I do believe Marcus Davenport and Harold Landry are more viable options than most believe.
