Is it reasonable to assume that he'll be back next week. Kudos to Rolle, but this D isn't the same without Wilson. We are now approaching a critical 2 game home stretch that will either make or break this season. How bad is the injury & did we hold him out for mostly precautionary reasons?

Even more pressing question, what is the status of Dansby? He is proving so valuable to this team. Possibly more than Wilson.

Dansby ended up finishing the game. I think thats the problem with having such a physical defense.....they are going to get injured alot

Boldin ended up finishing the Baltimore game as well, only to sit out a few.

I think Rolle was used differently yesterday because Wilson was out which may have opened our eyes to use him in different ways. A number of times he was right up near the line and moving along the line and then breaking to wherever on the snap. I do not think he is a good one on one cover guy but needs a little more freedom to use his abilities best. Wilson was sure on fire on the sideline. He was crazy with enthusiasm.

I'd sit Adrian for another week. There's no way in hell that a) San Fran should be able to come into our house and beat us even without AW and b) if we're gonna make the playoffs, he's got to be as healthy as possible for the stretch run.

At only 5-5 we cannot sit AW if at all possible. SF can beat us - they already have.

Watch out cheese, that was the philosophy with Q and his leadership ability was questioned. It doesn't matter that he is obviously still hurt.

It wasn't the philosophy that made people question it though. It was the reports of him wrestling around with guys and throwing people to the ground.

Get the guy healthy. If we can't beat SF without him at home, this ain't a playoff team anyway.

Did people actually believe that story as though Bolding was running around slaming guys to the ground but refusing to play? lol.

This is the NFL. A few wacky bounces and anyone can beat anybody (OK, except for New England). Do you think Pittsburgh isn't a playoff team now since they lost to the Jets (same record as San Francisco)?

the Pitt game was a) a road game and b) it was against the Jets, who were one year removed from the playoffs with a lot of players still there from that team and have actually played better people tough all year at home, regularly in games in the fourth quarter. San Fran is an abomination on the road and is rarely in games anywhere and they haven't sniffed the playoffs since last century. It's two completely different scenarios.

What?
It sounds like A-dub has a lingering injury that won't go away and will be looking into surgery after the season. It sounded to me like he is prepared to just live with it for now.

The only possible way we lose to S.F. is if Kurt goes down in the first quarter, like he did against Carolina. Even then we will most likely win.
