Mayfield isn't all that bad. Made the Chase twice.

Mayfield got the shaft last season, Evernham stole his crew chief and never gave the #19 team any sort of support until Jeremy got the shaft and Sadler stepped in.

I still think that Ray had it out for Mayfield for some reason (Erin Crocker?)...

PS: Should I change my sig to this?

Ever since Kasey Kahne came on the circuit, Evernham was all about the 9 car ... until he finally realized that Mayfield had a better chance of making the chase. There was so much speculation that Mayfield would be leaving that team inm what, 2004, that all his stuff at the trailer at Dover was dirt cheap. Bought my brother a jacket for $30. Got myself a tank for $8. Unheard of prices.

I hope Mayfield has a fabulous year.

Toyota wins the Craftsman truck race tonight.

Toyota will struggle early in the year, but the engineers in TRD will become more competitive as time goes on.

Toyota (Lexus) just won the 24 Hours of Daytona, the second most prestigious endurance motor car race in the world after the 24 hours at Le Mans.

2007 is also the year where Toyota surpasses GM and becomes the leading automotive company in the world -- over 9.7 million vehicles sold.

Toyota started selling cars in the U.S. in 1957, some 50 years ago and 50 years after the Model T first sold in 1908. Ford has been selling cars in the U.S. for 100 years, Toyota 50 years.

If you asked me 20 years ago, I would have laughed at Toyota Camrys. I'm a realist. Somehow I think Toyota will catch the competition in NASCAR and pass them up.

Regardless, it makes watching NASCAR all the more interesting.

You asked me for my take . . . so that's what I think.
