I think one of the funniest things I've seen is last year when McCown was in the endzone and threw the ball at Sheltons helmet. That was sad, yet hilarious.

Walking out of the Chiefs game in 95 where Bono had just had his huge run and the Cards had been whipped. I was working 13 hours shifts back then. I had gotten off work at 6 in the morning and was heading back to work at pm straight from the Cards game. Felt like hell to begin with.

Anyhow as I'm making the walk of shame, some Chiefs jackass has to ride by, head out the window and yell right at me in my Cards jersey- "Cardinals suck!" I remember it was just the final straw. To make it even a little sadder, I've always kind of pulled for the Chiefs. I have some Kansas roots. But since that moment, I've always felt some pleasure in seeing them come up short. That incomplete pass vs. denver in the playoffs in 97, all I could think of was the "cardinals suck" guy and where he was now.

Anyway that was my worst-most embarrassing-lowest moment.

This one's easy: moving to Arizona. I had no idea that so many people here had so much Cardinal hatred, or at best apathy. Here I am, fresh in the desert, ready to watch Cards games in person and I can't find a freakin soul who's excited about the team. Follow that with 8 years of feeling like I have to apologize for supporting the team. Even Cubs and Red Sox fans don't get it.

Will this ever change? I'm starting to see some bandwagon fans come out of the woodwork this year. But it will take a hopeful season this year, followed by a winning season next year, followed by a winning season in the new stadium in 2006 before we turn this corner. Too many fans here are just too fickle and apathetic. Or maybe I should say: pathetic.

At least we Cards faithful will have the best seats in the new stadium, so that in 5 years when there's a waiting list and Super Bowl aspirations we will be the focus of others' jealousy!!

i can't believe no one has mentioned this one.

hands down - most embarrasing moment.
i'm talking up jake plummer - how he's an "above average" qb in the nfl.

were on our own like 4 yard line vs the raiders.

he throws the ball BEHIND HIS BACK to ABSOLUTELY NO ONE and the Raiders pick it up for a td. my friends were laughing so hard that they had tears in their eyes. i couldn't believe what i had just seen. it looked like corky from the old mcdonald's commercials had suited up in #16 for a play. that was the lowest point of my cardinal life. hands down.

I think any time Dave Brown came in off the bench. I also remember a game back in 2000 when the Cards got crushed by Philly at home, 33-14. They were down so bad it was the only game in the last 6 years I have left at half time. Philly was up 24-0.

Also, December 1, 2002, at Kansas City. McCown actually saw a little time in this game after Plummer was pulled.

Kansas City 49
Arizona 0

That was a beating!!

You all forgot this one and it was the worst. The exact year I cannot recall 92? 93?

Cards and Redskins are both 3-0 (maybe 2-0? 4-0? Im very confused) They go into sunday playing each other for the division lead. I bet a guy at the school cafeteria surrounded by dozens of people.

He gives me the cardinals + 35 points for a 100 dollar bet

Everyone around us laughed and I said man you are such an idiot.

Our starting QB didnt play and I think Tupa came out and we lost something like 45-3

All the worst times came during buddy ball. The MNF game against the cowpuks in 95, buddy's last game, he left the field before the game was over.

Interesting how many of the worst times for people involved Jake Plummer, and by far the best time for the Arizona Cardinals in peoples memories, ALSO include Jake Plummer.

I would have to say the most embarrassing moment was the 83 Giants game. National audiance and our Kicker Neil O'donahue misses what seems like 8 kicks late on a Monday night in overtime. The game ends up in a tie and all I could think was there is 4 hours I will never get back in my life. My memory is fuzzy but I think that is how it went. I remember at school getting razzed pretty good about that one. And the low point from the fan side is when the stadium booed the Tribute to Tillman before the Pats game. I want to believe it was mostly Patriot fans. But the fans of our team did cheer Kent Graham getting hurt...so you have to wonder. That was embarassing also.

Wasn't Champ Baily's first INT a Jake plummer out pattern returned for a TD? I seem to remember it was his first game or first INT of his rookie season.

The Charles Woodsen pick for a TD was horribly embarrassing also.

What was worse, that he fake dribbled the ball downfield while running, or that he mentioned after the game that he'd told his teammate before the snap I'm taking this one back for a TD, baited Jake into the throw, and then scored on it?

That was when Woodson could actually play, and Jake couldn't, jake's got some revenge on Charles the last 2 years.

Closer to the 20 yard line and wasn't for a TD, although the scored one a few plays later. People forget that play was called incorrectly it shoudl have been an incomplete pass.

The game was in 91. I remember Bugel wouldn't shake his old boss' hand afterwards b/c he thought the redskins ran up the score. I'd call this game, the first in the trend where the Cards would set their fans up, with some hopeful signs, to be followed by a crushing disappointment. That theme has marked the Cards entire Arizona era, hopefully not to be repeated once more this weekend.

Rats... I remember that game...I think Howard Cosell made a comment to the effect that it was the most boring game in the recorded history of mankind.

Oh yeah - I was watching that game with my buddy who's a Raider fan and when it happened - he didn't even rag on me. He just kinda gave a half smile and patted me on the back. That was a moment of shame.

Wow, so many, so many. Well 1 is going to a sports bar in D.C. with my 2 boys (Cowboys, eagles) and asking for our games on direct tv. The waitress looked at me like I was high on crack as I said "Can you point me to Cardinals/Jets please?" This was when the Jets were atrocious and the Cards were too. (of course) The Boys and Eagles were headed to the playoffs of course. She had to ask the bar owner to put the game on a tv for me. He gave me some crappy monitor in the back of the bar. I felt like a leper as I watched Adrian Murrell run wild and Seth Joyner get kicked out the game. My boys kept pointing and laughing. It was a disgrace. The other is having to face my co-workers after we got mopped by the Chiefs 2 years ago. Man, so many embarrassing moments. It's hard to choose just one. LOL!!
