My god, my god..... What an absolutely, positively abysmal team.

I normally would complain that it's a bit too early to start planting shaped charges on the team, but.....

Manager... AJ WHO??? When they named this winner of the Emmett Kelly Award as the new manager, you knew they were writing off the season. Colorado gets Jim Tracy, we get this guy. GET A QUALITY MANAGER.

Pitching Staff - Hang on to Heren and Scherzer, and hope and pray that Webb can recover (I have some doubts). Davis is ok, I guess as a number 5 guy, but Garland should go.

Keep Qualls but not as a closer: He can close, but he's not a closer. GET A CLOSER! Fire most of the rest of these clowns. Rauch goes first. Pena second. Spend a few bucks and get a few quality relievers.

All the rest - Clark goes. As much as I like having a "character" on the team, Byrnes is a drain on the team and a waste of dough.... good bye. Chris Young goes. Enough. Chad Tracy should probably go too: He can't stay healthy. Leave Reynolds on third and put CoJack on first. Leave Drew and Lopez where they are.

Then let's get the Parra's and Roberts of our team some work.... these guys look good.

A guy bunt's and makes it all the way home on two errors. Heeeellllllllloooooooo, Little League.,,

Was saying this 45 days ago but was being drowned out by the screams from those who placed all of this on Melvin... How ironic...

A major overhaul needs to take place but do you guys have confidence in Josh Byrnes? We are just as qualified as AJ is to be the manager on this team. The next month is going to be huge for Josh, I hope he does not screw it.

Josh's track record is pretty friggin' poor, so my expectations are pretty low...

On another note, AJ held a team meeting early today..... I'm sure this guy carries an enormous amount of clout with the players, especially the older ones.......

As I've posted before, Hinch's personality is as passive as Melvin's. It hasn't raised the lax attitude of the players. Or our place in the standings. They've continued to decline.

But it's becoming clearer that Josh Byrnes' priority is having a submissive Manager, so he can continue to dictate things like the batting orders.

We had the logical successor to Melvin waiting in the wings. But does anyone believe for an instant that Chip Hale would tolerate allowing the GM to usurp his Managerial responsibilities and limit his on-field scope?

Josh knows the answer to that.

A new Manager, Batting Coach and Pitching Coach have not tightened up this team. That makes the meddling GM the constant fail factor.

With his long contract, 'not a lot to look forward to.

Animal Planet seems a lot more watchable right now than this.....

First off, that is not the definition of ironic. Secondly, the team is scoring 2.3 more runs per game since Melvin left.

I don't know what anyone is expecting of this team as it is currently constructed. The bench is non-existent, Doug Davis is our #2 pitcher, our Defensive Efficiency is tied for 3rd worst in MLB. It's practically impossible to manage a team with all of these faults.

I believe it's ironic that many of the things I was pointing out months ago are still being discussed today... And I believe it's ironic that Hinch is being blasted now, just as Melvin was then...

Also, scoring those "2.3 more runs per game" has made this team so much more enjoyable to watch... :mulli:

when is Jarrod Parker going to be called up? Sure hopes the FO starts spending the money once all of the deferred salaries are paid.
