The Suns also submarined the Nuggets by doing this, and Denver seems to be one of the team's major rivals among the up-and-coming young teams.
I would rather have had the Nuggets end up with Q instead of Kenyon Martin, Denver needed more inside help than outside, they still could resign Rodney White or Vashon Leonard.

Real GM lists Rodney White as a full free agent and HoopsHype does not list him on their roster. If the Q deal falls through, I'd be interested in taking a look at him.

White is 6'9" 230. He was a #9 pick in 2001 by Detroit and was traded the following year to Denver. This last year he only played 13.7 minutes per game backing up Carmelo, but averaged 7.5 ppg on 45.9% shooting. His three point shooting is 37.9%. I never saw and announcement on it, but I'm guessing that Denver refused to give him a qualifying offer for his contract which was above $3.5 million.

White was an underachiever with Denver, but he has a lot more talent than most of the rest of people out there. He's big enough to play inside and has some skills. Plus, he may be pretty cheap since he seems to be off the radar right now.

White killed the Suns last year, he's little bit of a head case but could be very effective off the bench. Kiki did not pick up his option last year and Rodney was miffed. He was Melo's closest friend on the team and may resign in Denver anyway. I would think for certain that the Bobcats may make him an offer, fits Bernies profile, young and offensive.

Maybe if he cleaned up his language.
