I was thinking about this during this morning's games. Seems like every guy in the NFL with long hair is a db.

It was interesting to see Larry Johnson take down Troy Polamalu by the hair, too. :|

Not only did he take him down by his hair, he yanked him back up to his feet with it too.

Was that what the flag was for? I didn't really get it. Costas and those guys just said tackling by hair was a penalty, but I thought it wasn't.

No, it's not a penalty. He got called for unsportsmanlike conduct, and I do think it's for how he pulled him up with his hair.

It just turns out that a lot of guys have long hair.

Larry Fitzgerald and Green for the Cards play with cornrows down his neck, but so does Stephen Jackson of the Rams. Chad Jackson of the Patriots plays with his hair in beads coming out the back of his helmet.

I was thinking about the players that have cut their dreadlocks end up playing worse afterwards:

Lavar Arrington, Ricky Williams, Randy Moss (he took them out of dreads and has that fugly fro, *cough* Edgerrin James

I was thinking about that also. McKenzie, Green, Polamalu, some back-ups on teams that play special teams.

Polamalu didn't really show any emotion on the play, but that's really gotta hurt. Ouch.

Yeah, he pulled his hair standing up, then kind of flipped it aside like it was a piece of crap...hence a taunting call.

I hate the taunting and celebration penalties.

Well perhaps he realized what a chic-fight move that was from Johnson. All that was missing was some scratching and shirt tearing and it is a Friday Night at Jimbo's. Seriously, is there a more feminine way to tackle somebody than by their hair?
