All right, here's the poll:

If anyone goes on record as saying the first and it happens, I'll reward them with ASFN $$. :) Be sincere in your prediction.

I said 2nd round, but I think the Jags still might snag him and do a draft day trade of Garrard... just a hunch

To the sane minds amongst us the most reasonable estimate would be third but because the football world does have the likes of Al Davis and his like minded travelling show of braniacs running several teams im gonna go second with a nagging voice in the back of my mind thinking first round is actually more likely.

Ok ramble over.

He got invited to NY.
The league won't do that just to embarrass the kid.

The league is just doing that to cash in on the publicity that surrounds Tebow, they dont really care where he gets picked although it would serve their needs better if he is picked on the first day with him there at the draft. I got nothing against the kid because he actually has a good attitude most of the times but i just dont think he is what some hype him up to be.

So are you saying the draft is fixed? The league can't force teams to draft anyone. They invited Tebow because this is a prime time draft with many viewers and Tebow has lots of fans in the world because he is a class act and former Heisman winner. I don't think that does anything to assure he will be taken in the first round.

First round talent.

Look at it this way, yeah he's screwed up a bit and so far he's proven he will work his ass off to fix it.

The world is chock full of people who want to be an NFL QB but precious few actually have the talent, you add drive to that and he's worth a first round gamble.

Look at all the people drafted in the first round that busted out.

Do you really think someone as gifted as Tebow and as driven as he is will fail?

I would bet good money he dosen't.

Yep, because drive and a modicum of athleticism doesn't mean you'll be a success. In fact, if that's all you have, you better pray you develop more, else you'll find yourself out of the NFL.

I voted third round because I think he is going to have a hard time in the NFL. No doubt he is a gifted athlete but he will be going against the best players and more complicated schemes. Can he adjust and would a team being willing to risk a high pick on him to find out?

Don't know if he goes earlier, but I could see Indy or New England grabbing him if he is there. I would imagine he goes before McCoy, but I see McCoy as a 3rd rounder. Just about any team that does not need him to play this year and can afford to use a 1st on a QOF, could be the one to pull the trigger in the first. ( after #12 ????? ).

Carolina Panthers anyone?

Survey of scouts contains bad news for Tebow

A survey of 21 NFL scouts and personnel executives found that the majority do not think Tim Tebow will be an NFL starter and do not think he should be taken in the first or second round of the draft.

Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that a broad cross-section of personnel men were asked the question, Will Tim Tebow be a solid starting quarterback in the National Football League?

Five said yes, while 16 said no.

The scouts were also asked what round they'd draft Tebow in if their team needed a quarterback. Two said first round, six said second round, seven said third round, four said fourth round, one said fifth round and one said he wouldn't draft Tebow at all.

"I don't think he has any quarterback skills and he's not a good enough athlete to play another position," an NFC executive said. "They've made this kid out to be perfect. I just don't buy it."

Fixed?
No.
But if the front office calls a number of GMs to gauge a how likely a first night (gah, that takes some getting used to saying) slide is and if the information came back overwhelmingly negative then he probably doesn't get the invite.

First. For no other reason than everyone is saying he isnt worth a first. I usually take that to mean he is, because most pundits dont know what theyre talking about

Second round.Somebody is going to see all his hustle and work ethic and talent and will think they can make Tebow into what that particular team needs.Tebow will play in the NFL IMO.If a Brian ST.Pierre can hang around for 7 years Tebow will play.
