Bench him. Why continue to play him? I was going to say continue to start him and let him get smashed by opposing defenses the rest of the year but you have to find out if Skelton has anything at all.

Yep. Even if you have to start Hall a couple of games while giving Skelton more reps to get him ready for a couple of late starts. There is NO reason to start Anderson any more.

I don't care if Hall plays horribly and if Skelton looks lost, they will learn more on the field at this point than on the sideline watching Anderson stare down receivers and throw into triple coverage.

The play that really did it for me last night was when LaBoy hit DA from behind forcing a bad throw. They showed a replay where you could see where DA was throwing(to Fitz) on the play and there were THREE defenders on Fitz, including a LB right in front of him. If LaBoy hadn't hit him, the ball would have been picked off.

I am now on board with this. I will no longer defend Whiz blindly. He has lost team.

Bye bye.

I saw that too.

Pointed it out to my wife.

Funny.

Ship him to the Texans to back up Lienart! It's time to play the rookies. We saved two spots for them on this team and caused Matt to leave. Well now it's time to show us why we did that. I would prefer Skelton only because we have not seen much of him since camp. We know what Hall can do.

Pray we get a very high pick in this years draft. All I want for Xmas is a QB and a defensive and offensive coach.

There is no reason in the world not to take a QB like Luck if you can get him. Whiz got all his wins with Warner, what ever coach is here can get some wins with Luck. :) Thinking about Luck is cheering me up, don't take that away from me ...please. :p

Does he have any regular season games left? I've got to see this kid, he has some impressive passing stats.

I say start him. Before everyone lynch me, hear me out.

You start Anderson because you KNOW he sucks. If we start Hall, we just THINK that he sucks. There is a possibility he might actually win a meaningless game or two and that would put us out of the Luck sweepstakes. Same thing with Skelton. We have no idea what he is capable of, thus, could surprise us and win a game.
i see your logic, and i do want andrew luck ,if for nothing else but to wear a tee shirt that says on the front "you may have talent" and on the back "but we have luck on our side GO CARDS!"

but if they do start DA the rest of the way, i don't think i'll be able to watch, i just pray he doesn't get fitz or stevie or any of our other pass catchers seriously injured going up for some of his errant throws,
though its plain to see our receiving corp isn't going all out for the scud anymore,
he has gotten every one of them hammered hard on many occasions going across the middle and climbing the ladder for one of his 15 foot high "laser like" passes
god the guy is such a talentless douche, he has got to be in the top five of worst starting quarterbacks ever in league history.
GOTTA BE! just leave us in piece scud or in piece's,i don't care and shake the dust off your feet as you leave,i wish to forget that we ever knew ye'

you have taken all the good will and respect that guys like whiz (although you have to put this on whiz' shoulders) and warner and fitz and boldin and haley and the list go's on and on, all that good will and all that has been done the last few years to change the perception of our franchise in the eye's of the sporting world YOU SCUD..have single handedly blown all that up in our face's,
you were just a talentless loser until after your little press conference now you are a complete walking douche bag, who i have absolutely zero respect for,
the kid flipping burgers at mickie d's is deserving of more respect than you, at least he knows his job my burger is done to my liking and he doesn't fall apart like a namby pamby boy and start cussing me out if i ask him a legitimate question like "where are my fries"
somebody post that R LEE ERMIE clip where he wants to chug on over to namby pamby land and get some confidence for you you jackwagon,
thats DA right there on the couch,

ok i am just rambling now, the scud has really upset me, i'd laugh it off but its just not funny not funny at all, GOD I JUST WANT TO KICK HIM IN THE ******
GO TO HELL DA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mulli::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:
go straight to hell,damn you

Just the bowl game IIRC. OSU was their last regular season game.

One thing on Luck, he's NOT a great deep thrower. I've seen all but 2 games he's played at Stanford and repeatedly now for 2 years he's underthrown deep balls. he has the arm strength I think it's just a timing thing.

Of course we're not a deep throwing team, we lack deep speed at WR we're more of an intermediate passing team and that's where Luck excels. He also can run, I don't like running QB's but Luck is really good at it and he also knows when to slide normally(except against Cal when he nailed that safety and kept going).

He's a special talent, he is accurate and he thinks the game like a 10 year NFL vet.

I don't think we end up with a bad enough record to get him so we'll have to make a trade if we're going to wind up with him, I would be ecstatic if we get him.

Uh oh, does that mean he has Leinart's noodle arm?

There were about 3 or 4 throws in the game that had they actually been on target they would have easily been INTd. At least Anderson has that going for him I guess...

For a guy who gets praised for not compounding his mistakes like cutting Buster Davis, Cody Brown, ect Whis just refuses to do the same with Anderson. Whis' handling of the QB situation this season ranks up there with some of the all time Cardinals blunders. It might just be the worst I've seen actually, and that is REALLY saying something.

A lot of their ulitmate success or failure has to do with where they land.

Our team is a smoking ruin in terms of people knowing anything about the QB position.

I mean Warner was used well when Haley was here, Whiz did probably have something to do with that but I've seen nothing at all to tell me Whiz would be a good person to pair a young QB with.

Since the team is more than just it's coaching staff or FO, I hope we get someone great, problem is that's not the only problem.

So I have to hope we somehow get an awesome QB, then before they can ruin him the FO goes and a new QB guru lands here to buffer him from Whiz.

That's a ton of things that need to line up right, I'm depressed now in terms of this team, very depressed.

BTW did you see who won the Grey Cup again?

Underthrowing gives players like Fitz a chance to go get it, even if that allows an underneath safety to come over and help. Constantly overthrowing deep balls leaves no chance.

I want everyone fired.
I might be onboard with this if next season were a known quantity. It's not. If we start from scratch next year (if there is a next year) we likely won't have the benefit of all of the offseason orkouts and practices. You can't just scrap everything--players, coaches, offenses and defenses--and expect to hit the ground running without the time with the players to install the new systems.

Whiz, for better or worse, has at least one more year to redeem himself and the Cardinals.

There's no time like the present to get going on building your future.

This FO is what I'm talking about, every second it sits there, is another second we'll never get back, do it now, hire the right FO team and begin building.

Every day we wait is another day longer it'll be until we get anywhere.

Whiz IMO is a casualty of this unfortunate situation. It's possible a new GM would keep him, athough unlikely.

I hate to say this but play the QB that gives us the best chance of losing out and getting a high draft choice. What is to be gained by winning a game or two other than losing out on one of the top three QBs. Most teams would cut him purely the way he has performed from day one. We are in the worst of all worlds. We have a horrible starting QB and a bad backup that no one even drafted. One of the announcers stated last night that selecting a QB with your first pick who fails will set your team back five years.

If I were Rod Graves I'd build a wayback machine and do a spit take with my coffee when Whiz comes into my office and asks to sign Anderson and then I'd tell him not only is that not happening, but he's also not going to cut Leinart.

Then I'd go assassinate Hitler and on my way home tell my past self that I need to brush better because root canals suck.

That would be like the 3rd best day of my life if I could do that.

Here here. I have had two root canals in my life. The first one was relatively painless. He numbed me about 6 times before he got started because I 'kept feeling' the pain. The second time, I wasn't so lucky and it hurt like hell. I have been shocked twice via static electricity on my tooth from the needle that they use to numb you. Worst pain in my life.

I said cut him, but I was looking for shoot him, put him out of his misery, take him behind the wood shed, old yeller him out in the woods, give him the electric chair.

If Whiz lets him start another game then Whiz should be fired on the spot.

Anderson remains the starter.

It hasn't quite reached Matt Millen in Detriot proportions, but you have to wonder what Anderson has to do to lose the job. Between the horrible performance on national television and the Ryan Leaf postgame meltdown, I thought Whisenhunt would pull the plug.

Well, it took him a while to go back to Edgerin James when Tim Hightower ran out of gas in his rookie season. Better a slow learner than a total ****** I guess. :(

From USA Today article...
Whisenhunt said he has been pleased with progress that Anderson -- who earlier in the season lost his job to rookie Max Hall -- has made in recent weeks.

WTF!?
