I think they should sing the song that is at the end of the movie Shrek:

Hey hey hey!
Yes I'm a beliver!

Hey hey hey,
Yes I'm a beliver!

In 1969 the New York Mets won the world series against the great Baltimore team. Tug Mcgraw the Mets reliever yelled out most of that remarkable year "You gotta Believe". It was a rallying cry. THe players on this years Cards have as much going for them now as the mets did at the beginning of 69. That was little winning history just losing.

I think the song should be Do you believe in magic.

How about that song from "XXX" something about "let the bodies hit the floor". I think it's by Drowning pool. Everytime I hear that song I think football.

I don't know...being a Cardinals fan is tough. I love 'em to death, but sometimes it gets to me.

One of my favorite songs of all time is Billy Strayhorn's "Lush Life". It's an incredibly sad, but beautiful song about someone who is so distraught over a past love, that they decide to drink themselves to death. Kinda like how we feel after every season.

Here's the lyrics from the chorus:

**********

"Life is lonely again and only last year everything seemed so sure.

Now life is awful again, a troughful of hearts could only be a bore.

A week in Paris will ease the bite of it;

all I care is to smile in spite of it.

I'll forget you I will, while yet you are still burning inside my brain.

Romance is mush, stifling those who strive.

I'll live a Lush Life in some small dive,

And there I'll be, while I rot with the rest

of those whose lives are lonely too."

**********

Sums up our feelings about every past season, huh?

Sorry that saying was for the 1973 or 1974 season. When Yogi was coaching the Met's. They played the "A's in the world series.

Wagner's "Valkrie" (i.e. music blaring over the helicopter speakers in Apocolypse Now)

That or "Gonna Rip it Up (Tear it Up)" by Little Richard.

Hmmm...I would prefer "Name of the Game" by Crystal Method. Most of you have probably heard it as Jim Rome's "bumper" music.

I ripped it into my "Grand Theft Auto III" game on the PC. Everytime it comes on my car's radio, I have to go jump something!

WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT - Twisted Sister -

Either way the song will prove to be true - either the Cards come out and start beating people showing they won't take being dormats anymore - or the fans revolt after watching more blowouts and piss-poor playcalling and revolt deciding they're not gonna take another season of lousy football - either way it works. Either way - would be pretty entertaining to see - I like revolution - it ensures change, for good or bad - bad at least it's passionate. Wiunning would be nice also . . ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Happy Boy" by the Beat Farmers or "Satisfy Me One More Time" by Frank Sinatra. They don't really have anything to do with football, they are just so off the wall the other teams would just be scratching their heads wondering what is going on.

For Those About To Rock would be pretty freaking awesome as well - especially if Angus is planted dead one the fifty yard-line - doing a air guitar thrash and jump at the end and fieworks explode over his head.

For the pessimists who think we're being bent over: "up your bum" by Peter and the Test Tube Babies.

For the optimists: "we rule, ok" by Oxymoron.
