The one thing that stood out to me after listening to the introductory press conference....he sounds a LOT like Owen Wilson. Am I the only one that noticed that?
Here’s hoping the Cardinals are to Bradford what the Raiders were to Plunkett.Actually, he is very soft spoken and reminds me of another Native American who played the position named Jim Plunkett in his mannerisms and tone of voice

You tell em, smelly!!!He doesn’t have an alligator mouth trying to cover his hummingbird az- hope the team follow his example- answer on the field. Sam is a good man - some make it sound like he went out and got injured on purpose- he is top shelf on everything but injury- nobody kicked your dog - he is the best hope we’ve had.

What stood out to me from his press conference was he didn’t get hurt before, stepping off the helicopter or signing his contract
Pretty reasonable take but I wonder if Bradford is just being realistic? I mean, I don't necessarily agree that he thinks his knee is shot. He would be foolish to predict anything with it considering his history. Especially his recent history. Last year was a total *********** from his medical team(s) IMO. What should have been a relatively minor, quick cleanup surgery turned into a year long ordeal. Had they identified and diagnosed the knee properly right away, Bradford would have been back for the 2nd half of the season and been eligible to play.Sam knows his knee is shot, admitted it felt good "right now". But he seem pretty aware of his situation. I think he's crossing his fingers as much as anyone (hope he doesn't break one crossing them). I am betting that if his knee goes again this year he hangs them up.
He is a gamble but only for one year so it's a calculated risk. I hope they draft a QB in the first 2 rounds. But, if they go BPA at positions of need I won't lose my mind either.
I am really more concerned about the CB and WR void on this team right now. The LB corps is pretty suspect too.
I think OL is a place where a LOT of guys go down league wide, so I'm not so upset at the latest signings. It's hard to find undamaged goods on the loose these days.
My goodness there are some real holes in this team right now. Seems like a lot to overcome in this off season.
But, I will follow and root, as always, and see how it goes.

After two years of relative health, I'm sure it was terribly frustrating for Bradford to not actually be hurt but incapacitated by a mysterious problem. For a player who is understandably questioned for his health, '15 & '16 made it seem that he might have finally overcome those problems. To be right back in the same boat and really, even worse off when it comes to perception, '17 had to be rough for Bradford.
But, playing the mind-reading game, Bradford seems upbeat and ready to go IMO. If he actually thought his knee was shot, I think he'd retire. In '14 after he blew the knee out the second time he actually was considering retirement. Said he had a hard time facing that rehab again and it was rough on him. But I don't see any of that from him now and I think he's confident in his health. As so many have pointed out, he isn't hurting for money so I don't think he'd be putting himself through a move to a new team and likely having to hold off a rookie just for a paycheck.
I'm no expert either and maybe they did everything that could be done. But, it doesn't seem that way from my following of the situation. I admit, I'm assuming it was on the medical team(s) but maybe Bradford was part of the problem too? Maybe he was in denial or didn't want it to be injured so he wasn't being forthcoming enough for an accurate diagnosis. At the end of the day though, it seems ridiculous to me that it took them until after their bye in week 9 to figure out what was wrong for a knee that developed a problem in week 1.I am no medical expert so I have no thoughts on his medical team's competence. He seems, to me, cautiously optimistic but not really "confident". But, I think all of that is up to personal perspective based on his statements. Either way, I hope he can stay healthy because I do think he is a pretty good QB when he is.
I think the dude looks like Ryan Reynolds. The one thing that stood out to me after listening to the introductory press conference....he sounds a LOT like Owen Wilson. Am I the only one that noticed that?

I guess you don't want to be rash or premature and maybe my perception of modern medicine is too optimistic but it still seems to me they could have done a better job of identifying and treating a bone spur. 8 weeks to figure out that he needed to have surgery seems like a poor effort.
I can see that. Not a ringer, but I can see why you'd go there. Sadly, the closest lookalike I've heard for Bradford is Gilbert Gottfried.I think the dude looks like Ryan Reynolds.
"Andrews removed several loose particles from Bradford's knee, cleaned up some ragged cartilage and smoothed out a bone spur, sources said. Andrews has communicated to the club that he is hopeful the procedure will ease the pain that Bradford has been experiencing but offered no assurances on the ultimate outcome, per one source."Wasn't it more then a bone spur? Eventually he'll need a knee replacement, I'd imagine. He's got no cartilage in there.

For a knee to be fine for two years and then suddenly be so bad that he couldn't get on the field seems a bit more serious than they treated it. Writing it off to just being a bruise for weeks seems negligent to me. With all those millions on the line, I'd be a little more inquisitive about a supposedly healthy knee flaring up like that. I mean, it's not like he'd been having similar symptoms for the previous 2 years because of the ACL surgery.

Not at all, just didn't want it to seem that I was acting like an authority on the matter. I've been a pretty ardent supporter of Bradford but last year was pretty trying in that regard. I'm right there with everyone else who has doubts about him being on the field. Funny, it wasn't that long ago when he was coming out of college that critics pointed to his shoulder as reason not to trust him. As far as I can recall, he's never had a problem with that in the pro's. Was really hoping he'd gone the way of Stafford or Alex Smith who both dealt with the injury bug early in their careers and then became reliable. Thought getting away from the Rams was the trick and that Bradford was going to have some healthy years. Oh well, 4th team's a charm, right?I wasn't being snarky with my comment. I just want to make sure you know I appreciate your thoughts and wasn't poo-pooing them in the slightest.

What stood out to me was him pulling into the Cardinals facility in style
