What helped out today the most was the idiotic scheme of the Seahawks to drop seven and rush only three for a majority of the game. Warner is a accurate veteran and with time and our WRs, Warner will find people open in the field even if you have seven off the line...you have to get pressure on Warner to beat him and get possible gifts like Kurt fumbles,...thank you Seahawks :)

All due respect but I couldn't disagree more. If I were an opposing D coordinator I would rush 3 every time. It was just that Levi Brown had a great day that the plan didn't work. You blitz Warner and you get BURNED by the quick release. Warner is his worst when he has to improvise because of coverage and gets too much time.

Well perhaps not three...

But the 49er's, Colts and Panthers beat the Cardinals by rushing only 4 most of the time, and dropping seven. So the strategy wasn't necessarily flawed, but the Cardinals beat it this time; probably helped having Beanie knocking people around!

With our running game starting to flourish, I expect defenses to put more in the box, making play action much more effective

You're just saying that because there was a perfect example of it in the red zone today! :)

Where WAS Warner throwing that ball that got intercepted/reviewed/overturned? I very much felt like a cartoon thermometer that pops it's mercury on that play. I don't blame him for extending the play but what in the world was he thinking when he threw that ball? I couldn't see any potential for a completion on that one.

I know the next time he throws one out of the back of the end zone, safely into the hands of a paying fan, it will be the first time.

I remember hearing an announcer say "Seattle is looking to rush 3 and drop 8 back into coverage" and I immediately said god I hope so. Not a wise move. Pretty sad that some of these guys are getting payed hundreds of thousands of dollars to game plan against us and decide to go with a scheme that was light on blitzes.

Many people think the way to beat the Cardinals is to have Warner on his back, yesterday would have been one of those days. As our run offense continunes to improve this team will become more unstoppable.

Nice home win yesterday.

Rushing 3 and dropping 8 was a good game plan IMO. The Jets did the same thing last year and buried the Cardinals in the first half. It's blitzing Warner that leads to big Cardinal plays, not playing coverage. Hey, the Seahawks plan worked for 3 series and a quarter and a half.

the announcers said the Seahawks noticed that Warner has struggled more with guys dropping in coverage than when he's blitzed. I think it's a matter of pick your poison. If the offense starts rolling it doesn't matter what the defense does.

I agree with all of these comments.

For those who complain about the play calling and believe Whis isn't capable as an OC I have to say you are completely wrong. Today was a perfect example of Whis calling plays to get Warner back in his groove. He made adjustments to what the D was doing with the knowledge that KW was not on his A game to start. Then we watched the O march down the field quickly and methodically on most of the drives after the first QTR.

For those who complain that Whis can't manage the Game properly as the HC and OC I say that this is more difficult but Whis is the exception to the rule. He will only get better as the season progresses.

I was watching from a sports bar without the benefit of audio or DVR rewind... but i thought that pass was tipped near the line of scrimmage, no?
