The SEC Tournament enters its third day of competition Friday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Friday will feature quarterfinal play with the top four seeded teams in action after earning a double BYE: No. 1 Auburn, No. 2 Florida, No. 3 Alabama and No. 4 Tennessee.
No. 4 seed Tennessee (25-6) will open play in the SEC Tournament against No. 13 seed Texas (19-14) on Friday.
The Vols defeated Texas, 74-70, during the regular season on Jan. 11. Tennessee leads the all time men's basketball series against Texas, 6-4, dating to Dec. 18, 1952. Rick Barnes is 3-1 against the Longhorns as Tennessee's head coach.
The winner between Tennessee and the Longhorns will advance to the SEC Tournament semifinals on Saturday against either No. 1 seed Auburn or No. 8 seed Ole Miss.
