You guy crack me up. Go ahead write him off. You know, let's get over it...we missed out on AP. Really, get over it. There's only one AP. There's a ton to like about TH...a ton. And he's only in his second year. Think about it.

"Write him off"?? Mitch, calm down buddy... has CT gotten dark and dank already??

I am by no means writing him off! I love Timmy and hope he remains a Cardinal for a very long time. But, if we are comparing him to Beanie in terms of pure running skills, well - IMO there simply is no comparison. Beanie should be getting the majority of run plays. Timmy should be a change-up, 3rd down and short distance back. Nothing wrong with that and I am NOT writing him off!
Go light a fire, grab a brandy, turn on some Jackson Browne and mellow out buddy!

According to you. Not to me. I love the way he runs. He is one tough hombre and he has bounce to his game...TH plays with the right emotion. I also accept that he's in his second year, and is miles ahead of where Hearst and Jones were. And in his first year was a MAJOR contributor to an NFC Champion team.

First comparing him to Hearst and saying he is better his first few years isnt syaing much considering Hearst played a total of 10 games his first two years here and couldnt get out of the trainers room. And Thomas Jones was playing with a medical condition our staff failed to diagnos until Tampa Bay finally found it and fixed it.

Second liking the way he runs still doesnt make him a starter. I like the way a lot of RB's have run in the past but it doesnt mean they are starter material. You can be a MAJOR factor but he was not a MAJOR factor as a starter. He was a MAJOR factor in the red zone and short yardage. He was never a major factor as a starter minus the Rams game. And he has never been a major factor in any games this year either as a starter, he has only been a major factor as a reciever. Hasnt shown anything as a runner as a starter. 2.8 yards a carry and 3.3 yards a carry is not starter material. Running behind the same OL Wells has a full yard better YPC. There is a reason coaches have given Well more rushing attempts then Hightower since the bye week, and made Hightower and after thought in the Giants game.

Joe what if the basis for the decision is because Beanie is having problems being the dump off guy that Timmy is right now? We don't have recievers getting to their destinations before the ball has to come out and it falls on TH too many times to pick up the catch and make out of it what he can right?

What if Whiz does'nt think Beanie can fill that part of the starting back role?Beanie has only caught 4 NFL passes in his career.I truly have yet to see him throw a block in the backfield on a pass play.I've been looking.I know he did'nt have to do that or catch in college and it might be a problem picking up the system so late while everyone else already went through the reps he missed.

Something WE don't know is keeping Beanie from being turned loose.I want him to be the starter OF COURSE.Who would'nt want to see their prized #1 draft pick they never thought would fall to them? He did.Now I remember what he looked like in just the regular weekly games at OSU and I saw something very special and just WISHED one day we could have that.

Is it the offensive line not making big enough holes for him? Is the hole closing too fast? Are we not running the type plays he liked most at OSU? Why does'nt he follow Kreider through the hole he is making for him? I've watched him take his own route a couple times when he's had a lead blocker.Stuff like that will get you put on the bench.

Is he too much of a freelancer for coach Whiz.We all saw him with that play in N.Y. were he thought it was OSU and he could make something out of nothing and ran many yards just to end up NOT losing 20+ yards, just negative 3-4.You can't do that style in the NFL.Why does'nt he already know that from all the practice he's had.

Beanie thinks he's faster than he really is?

Trust me I'm all for BEANIE running the ball on every play of the game.I just want him to be ready and hope he can stay healthy and show the league they made a giant mistake by letting him fall to us.Why is it taking so much longer than any of us thought?I've seen him run totally the wrong way before.Yet I loved the misdirection pitch play they worked out for him.Thats an old martz play Warner used with Faulk at least twice a game.

My personal opinion is the only reason Beanie isn't in the game more is that he CAN'T BLOCK PERIOD...Has been trying to pick it up but still isn't NFL ready to protect a very old stationary qb.Thats the only thing I can come up with. We change the play at the line and then its Beanie's changed play to pick up the blitzer and what happens?

Sendlein and Lutui getting their usual set of penalties???

I'd like to see the numbers on that, but I think that this the one area where these two are doing well at.

Now Levi and Gandy on the other hand..........

http://sports.cbs2chicago.com/fb/findplayer.asp?type=position&position=91

I don't know how accurate this site is but they show Sendlein with 3 penalties and Lutui with only two so far this season. Much better number for Duece. Also noticed that RWells is shown with none.

I want McClain from Alabama I can taste it. It'll never happen but that kid would start for us from day one.He might have a lil' time to pick up our system but the kid is a head hunter in the London Fletcher mode and will lead whatever team that gets him in tackles for 10 years. He'd fill the Dansby spot right away.

I'm old but I can still dream until April gets here and reality sets in.

We need offensive line help and its time to move our backups into position or get others.I just don't understand Grimm's motives and lack of teaching ability that he once had.I think he's babying this 5 he has now way too much. Its past time for a change. We saw all of this already last season.

I'll get yelled at but Wide reciever is a big need in the SPEED department also.We need a homerun threat. We don't have one.The eagles have 4 the saints 5-6.ETC...Colts

if this regime doesnt draft at least 4 LB'ers in next years draft, they are making a big mistake!!!

I see a lot of Zach Crockett in Tim Hightower which isn't a bad thing. I agree that Hightower has a ceiling and might be there. I also know that a good team has a large contingent of "grinders" like Tim.
