what were the not so bright spots about today's game?

All I can think of is poor ST coverage and no sacks. Awsome game. Wish I could have watched it.

Clock management is still an issue. We have to get the plays in on time,

No pressure on the QB and some missed tackles.

McKinnon. Sorry but he is too slow and cannot cover anyone out of the backfield or a TE. Darling played much better than McKinnon today and should be starting in the 4-3 if for no other reason than speed!

I dont think that TO where the O-Line got pissed was a clock management issue. I think it was that Boldin and Johnson lined up on the wrong side of the field.!

Very well could have been....

Either way, neither should have happened!

The only part when the plays didn't get in on time was because the eapieces were not were not working, and McCown had to run the plays to the huddle.

The blown TO's were because of recievers being in the wrong position.

Our special teams coverage was much better this week in my opinion. Some plays were actually made.

The lack of a pass rush is still a big problem and will be a real problem next week against the Rams. We have to find a way to get some pressure.

But - wasn't it cool to see the O-line pissed?

Let's see, where do begin?

Let's start with this offense not able to break a huddle and line-up in a timely fashion(coaches are responsible here there are no excuses for this). This D line continues to play inept with no pride. Where in the hell was Bryant today? Was he injured? Poor tackling ie when DJ had Favre in his grasp instead of wrapping him up he was trying to grab him with his paws(that's taught in high school football) it is not proper for a pro to have this bad habit! The O-line finally had a good game and there was only 1 turnover(that would be nice to continue that trend) however, we only forced one turnover and that hurts especially if our DLine can't sack the QB!

All in all GB should have blown us out but they had a horrible game and our O controlled the clock and kept Favre off the field and this why we won.

Mac needs to give up the conservative act, he should of went for that TD instead of kicking. When you are 0-2 and you demand your players to play hungry then the head coach by golly needs to be hungry as well.

The worst: The lack of any kind of pass rush.

What didn't help the former: The lack of any kind of imagination on the part of our hapless D-Coordinator.

Another bad thing: Our lack of a run game.

But we won. I'll take that, for this week!

Favre challenged Barrett more today and I was getting nervous. He didn't play horrible but he gives so much damn space. He is supposed to be a physical guy yet he is 7-10 yards off. Someone will make him pay for doing that.

I agree the running game was not great, but the o-line beat the hell out of GB in the 4th quarter. They were seriously sucking air and being blown off the ball. Thye had a runnig game when it counted

The D bent alot, although to their credit, they did not break much.

But the bending was alot, too much.

They did bend a lot but the key was that GB onyl converted 2-9 3rd downs. They stopped them when it counted

I think the pass rush is the most obvious. Three weeks in, we have one sack. We're actually BEHIND the sack pace of the last two years!

But, we had Ransom and DJ lining up at DE today, rotating with Pace. That's a pretty weak crew.

I didn't think special teams played badly today. Grammatica had every kick go to the 5 yard line or further and put it in the corner every time. That made it a lot easier for our coverage and put more of our tacklers in a smaller area. There were some great open field tackles made and very few missed tackles. It seems like we don't have a whole lot of speed on ST's and the return guy is usually to the 25 before our tacklers arrive.

I agree the kickoffs/coverage was pretty good but we're still struggling with punt coverage. There isn't a Cardinal in sight when the return man catches the ball.

Our d-line gave up 66 yards on the ground on 23 carries... less than a 3 average per carry. Last week,

GB torched Detroit (you know the team with the so-described good D-line) for about 160 yards on the ground.

In two of three games we've held the opposition to below 100...

As for the pass-rush (hurries) it can certainly improve... but if it was so bad why didn't a future Hall of Famer carve us up?

YEAH!!! this is a really terrible D-line. FIRE Marmie!!!

Who's responsibility was Bubba Franks on that last play? He was wide open, Favre just didn't see him. That could have been ugly.
Too bad. Sucks for them.
