Thank you, this thread is idiotic. If we don't use a certain amount of our cap space we'll get fined by the league. Plus we finished 5-11 last year, why would we not make any moves? If you think it was all due to bad coaching your sadly mistaken

Sometimes on Madden, I won't make any moves in free agency.

The only move I know I want us to make in free agency is to re-sign Leonard Davis. After that, I don't care. Most of our FA acquisitions don't work out.

But beyond that, we don't know what system and schemes Whisenhunt will run and it's important to match the talent to the scheme. Just throwing out names of good players to target is message board stuff, not necessarily a good way to build a team.

Pretty much agree with you on this. Number one prioity is to keep Davis. I hope they do that. IMO they will add some additional free agents to add depth and competition but not any of the so called big name free agents.

I'll refrain from calling this thread idiotic, but it is pointless. Since it is illegal under the rules of the salary cap for us to do nothing, we will be FORCED to sign FAs. Why? We have huge chunks of cap space that we have to eat up to even spend to the minimum limit. Ergo, this thread is pointless.

There should be an option 5 on this poll: "Criticize Bill Bidwill for being cheap". Even if all of the big names are franchised or never even talk to the Cards, a few people on this board and a significant fraction of the general public (including reporters) will blame the lack of success on Bill Bidwill.

The whole 'cooling off' period Graves came out and publicly stated we used. That was a while ago, and clearly not how it worked last year.

That was a pre-Green quote by Graves. He said they liked to have a "cooling off" period after a free agent visit before they made an offer. They haven't done that for a while now.
