Five thing I'll be looking at when the Cards try to put another kitten in a choke hold:

Show Me Dem TDs - Scoring touchdowns in the red zone is even more important on the road than it is at home. Only Miami is worse than us at scoring TDs in the red zone.

Press the Advantage - The Fins aren't on our schedule, so winless Cincy might be the only game we play against an opponent who is clearly worse than us. This is a situation where a good team wins by 10+ points.

You Have One Job - John Ross: IR! A.J. Green: Crippled! The Cardinals must control the middle of the field. They can't allow another opposing tight end to take over a game.

Stoppable Force vs Movable Object - Teams are RUNNING ALL OVER the Cincinnati Bengals. The Cards have to be disciplined from their sideline and at quarterback about running the ball when there are favorable matchups.

Deep Shots - The Bengals are allowing 8.2 net yards per attempt. Even when the defense shows a two-high look, Kliff and Kyler need to strategically take the opportunity to huck one down the field. Murray threw one pass over 30 yards last week.

PREDICTION: Cards 26, Bungles 20

Probably the biggest indicator of Vance Joseph's competency will be this on Sunday.

Agree that the Cardinal's run game has to take advantage of it's most favorable match up this season.

It's got to be DJ, Edmonds and K1, early and often. Shorten the game, take the crowd out of it with long drives, and keep our wretched defense off the field.

Or, at a minimum, at least keep their defense honest enough so that our passing game has a fair chance.

Would love to see the Oline start to come together just a little bit, and begin to lean on people. Seems like wishful thinking though.

Its all in the run game both Defense and Offense.

Controlling the Run is key to this game. And i think we will do just enough. Last game sucked but Chris Carson is a beast and for the most part is running over other teams not just us.

So what happens, if anything, to this teams' psyche, as well as Keim, should we lose to Cincy?? This is the only game left on the schedule where, on paper, it can be said that the Cards "should" win.
I would think that a loss would send this team into some type of spiral... There is just nothing to be gained from a "close" loss. Bottom line, this is a must win, period. Given all of the injuries to Cincy and their league-worst position on just about every key stat chart, there are no excuses for a loss.

For Vance Joseph, this is his moment to prove he can get the defense to perform. And for Kliff, he simply must commit to the run game and it must produce bigtime against the league worst run defense...

Would I be shocked if the Cards lost? No... it is a 10am start after all. But, my gut says that, in true Cards agonizing and frustrating fashion, we grind out a close one... Something like 17-14...

I don’t even see on paper how this is a should win???

We aren’t a clearly more talented roster? Traveling east early 10am start time where we notoriously struggle?

I’m not seeing it and expect a loss.

Cincy is anywhere from a 2.5 to 3 point favorite, which, at home, means this game is a pick'em.
However, it appears to be widely confirmed that Cincy's o-line is the worst in the league (yes, worse than ours). Their passing game is worse than ours. Their running attack is worse than ours. Mixon is averaging 37 yards per game!
They have a whopping 5 sacks all season! They are missing their #1 and #2 WR's.

Like I said, I wouldn't at all be shocked if we lost this game... but, on paper, this is a game we must and really should win.
If we fail to win this game, what other game is left on the schedule that can even remotely be considered "winnable????" Maybe Atlanta at home... though, I can easily see the Falcons offense carving up our pathetic defense... Even if we win the Cincy game, I have a hard time finding another game where we can grab a W.

How bad do you think FOX wants to not show this game? For non-Bengals or Cards fans, this is by far the most unattractive game of the season thus far

I don't know. I think we have an advantage at almost every skill position on offense (including QB). Cordy Glenn is on the injury report.

We're better than them in basically every team statistical category. If we overperform in Cincy the way we overperformed in Baltimore, we should blow doors on these guys.

Can't wait to see KeeShawn and Isabella show up in this one, with Kirk out.

Glad your expectations weren't met! ;)

Now, to be clear... I can easily see the Fowlcons blow us out at home next Sunday. I'm thinking a score around ATL: 45 Cards: 17

Me too... Still not a clearly better team as I stated.

I think if both teams had ALL of their intended starters playing, the Bengals would be considered the better team and would've like won. But, I think the teams that were on the field yesterday - the Cards were the better team...
