Perhaps not necessarily the best QB, but the best one suited for this team.

Ricky Stanzi, IOWA in the middle rounds. I have a feeling this guy will be special one day.

Cam Newton,...can make all the throws, and has the escapability we desperately NEED in a QB due to the horrendous coaching our offensive line gets.

Do any of Warner's son's play QB? How long until any of them are 21?

Seriously though, of the seniors we know will be in the draft I think Devlin. He stepped right in at Delaware and took leadership of the team.

If we include guys who might not declare, I like Nick Foles, Kellen Moore, Kirk Cousins, and of course Andrew Luck.

He's such a project & really can't believe anything you see in him says he's anything close to being an NFL QB. He's not worth the gamble IMO

Has Luck been excluded because we don't think he'll be there? Because he's not suited for us?

Yeah but he might survive long enough to play for the Cards for 4 years before they let him go for nothing.

He shouldn't be. The Cards have a realistic shot losing every game this year. Having a record of 3-13 should keep you in line for the #1 pick.

The system should be made to fit the players not the other way around which is what Whiz has tried to do this year. Get the talent then make the system fit him.

Perhaps not necessarily the best QB, but the best one suited for this team.

1. Luck (Just based on what all are saying as I have not seen him)
2, Mallet. The prototype NFL in the pocket QB with big arm, accuracy, height and strength, and a winner.
3. Newton. Is the likely Heisman winner. The best running QB I have ever seen. Strong arm and a winner.

Ricky Stanzi, Pat Devlin or Christian Pointier would be ok for me.
Why?
Luck is the clear cut # 1 choice and would be the best for any team needing a QB. But what I don't understand is why, with Luck gone, do people want lower level talent guys when the oppurtunity to pick, probably the most pure talent at QB in the draft in Mallet, will likely be staring you in the face. Mallet may be a bust but he has a much higher ceiling than these other guys people are mentioning. They have less talent and higher likelyhood of being a on-contributor. It starts with talent.

The ONLY two guys I would draft are Luck & Mallett. Luck has everything, including intelligence to a be a GREAT NFL QB. I honestly think he's the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning came out. Mallett has decent upside, but he's a clearly not as good as Luck. If neither are available, the Cardinals need to bring in a FA or trade for an experienced QB. Someone like Shawn Hill from the Lions or Kyle O from the Broncos. We already have two projects sitting on the bench, why draft more projects??

Because the other guys carry less risk, as well. There are a lot of people here (including myself) who thinks this team can compete in the division without elite quarterback play as long as we're focused on running the ball and playing good defense. The Miami Dolphins have proven this, and they're in a much tougher division.

It's all right that other people aren't IN LOVE with Ryan Mallett the way you are. The talent is there, but he hasn't been able to put it all together and he hasn't won anything at this level. The Huddle Report ranks Mallett as the 3rd QB in this draft and 15th overall. Whether you like it or not, the Cards are going to be drafting in the top 5, and he'd be INSANELY overdrafted at that place. Like Akili Smith overdrafted.

Maybe if Mallett stays in school and wins the SEC/a national championship next season he'll be worthy of a Top 5 pick, but he's not there yet.

I totally agree...but we do have a person named Rod Graves & remember this franchise will be under tremendous pressure to add a QB to the roster!!! This is the exact reason I think we need to add Kevin Kolb as the QB to keep from reaching just like we did with Big, Pace/BJ & Levi Lebust!!!

1 Luck
2 Kolb
3 Newton
4 Mallet

I still wouldn't mind Mallet, but I agree with K9 about him not being top a 5. I don't agree with him about us EVER turning into a run team (or any thing resembling one), coach loves to throw, we better get a awesome QB or we are in same boat, different year, 2011.

John Clayton in an interview with Doug & Wolf on Friday said that the Eagles would probably want two #1 picks for Kolb.
IMO he is not worth that much.
