Modern era, just to keep it within the genre. Since the Rock and Roll era began in 1955, which year produced the most memorable, highest quality, and most influential music? It'd be really easy to pick the year that you were about 16 because that's what you remember most, but which was the best?

For me, top 5 (almost all before my time)

1971 Stairway to Heaven, Imagine, Baba O Reilly, What's Going On
1984 When Doves Cry, Pride in the Name of Love, Born in the USA, Like a Virgin
1957 Jailhouse Rock, Bye Bye Love, Great Balls of Fire, All Shook Up
1965 Satisfaction, Yesterday, California Dreamin, Sounds of Silence
1969 Whole Lotta Love, Proud Mary, My Way, Come Together

I'm not even a country fan but some classic country albums and artists were making big albums and some new legends were born that year as well.

I was 17 in most of 1992 so this list is huge to me. I can still listen to 3 of the first four you listed from beginning to end. Like you, I'm not much of a country music fan but Garth, George, and Brooks and Dunn all made good albums that year. Great list.

Also released: Soundgarden Badmotorfinger and Temple of the Dog. Two personal favorites of mine.

Good stuff bro I loved those albums too.

Hey atleast the country back then was like, actual country lol. The stuff I hear people listening to today just sounds like pop to me.

I was 12 when all that music came out and it forsure shaped, shoot I don't know, my whole life?
