Each of the last few years, I've been paying less and less attention to the NBA. I've been a suns fan since the early 90's, and it's come to a point where i've not watched one suns game this year, and only watched a few highlights here and there. I used to get pretty wrapped up in the suns and their results, and went out of my way to watch them play on tv. Now, I really have no interest in sitting down and watching a Suns game, nor am I really bummed out when they lost like I used to be.

There doesn't seem to be much of a bright future with the suns, with their best player aging and not much hope in the owners making moves to turn things around with drafts or trades.

I wonder if many of the other people on the board feel the same way, given the results of the team this year, and the prospects that the Suns might be an average or below average team for a while.

I am still a Suns fan, as I have been since 1970, and watch most of the games.

Despite their "finesse" and "small ball" approach which has frustrated me all that time, which is why I remain so vocal about it forty years later.

Moving to Paradise was a move I'll never regret and rooting for the home teams is part of it.

The Suns, the D'backs, the Cardinals. 'Can't live with them and can't live without them. I wouldn't even consider a trial separation, even during the worst days, some of which are right now.

However the Carmelo Trade Drama and a possible lockout has turned me off.

My interest level is beyond low.. And its not because of the Suns sucking either.. I just cant watch a league in good faith when in the past 25 years only 7 teams have won the championship.. And over the course of its history 2 teams own half the titles.. And a league where the NBA has a hand in determining who will win or lose.. Why even bother with it, when you know if your team aint one of the priviledged 7, your team is done before it even starts? Its pathetic.. I can see why people of the 7 teams that always win it would be interested.. But really, what is there to be proud about if your team is winning this way? I couldnt tell you who is in 1st place, who is in the running for MVP.. I couldnt tell you anything.. And if they start talking about it on ESPN my mind just starts to wander thinking about something else..

The Suns will always be my favorite Team and I've been collecting game-film for years BUT I find myself watching more College Basketball to prepare for Suns NBA Draft...

The nba officials are so bad that I'm usually turned off by watching nba anymore. I usually find myself watching game-film for Trade rumors or offseason (free agents). It's been like that for me since the Suns/lakers series and the official making that non out of bounds call! lol

I Love reading about the Suns though and I'll catch 20-25 games a year.

Sarver isn't a tightwad, he is just stupid. I think his desire and his wallet is there, wait, he didn't pay Stat so if anybody runs him out of town I will be bout it bout it. :)

I will always watch the Suns when they are on. Some habits are hard to kick.

i still watch the beginning of games whenever they're on TNT or ESPN but there's not a single ounce of excitement or anger that rises inside of me no matter what's going on in the game.

went the Portland game in a suite a couple weeks back... was more interested in the dessert cart than I was the game. Man, the smores cake was AMAZING.

This club is straight sad right now. I would be chomping down the zuzus too if I went to one of these games, gotta enjoy the sweeter things in life. Sarver is no bueno.

This is where I'm at as well. I have MAAAAAYBE watched one Suns game bell-to-bell. I don't even think that I have done that. I have probably watched portions of less than 15 Suns games overall. As for the rest of the NBA, if I don't care about the Suns, then I don't care about ANY of them. So, I'll wait until the Suns management gets wise, blows this BS up, and puts together a product that is worth patronizing. This is the attitude that they need to feel in their pocketbooks. If 19,023 people still show up with money in hand just because they are homers, then they will continue to watch this nonsense.

Funny that this post is coming from a 23 or 24 year die-hard Cards fan, huh?

NBA interest
0/10
There's zero parity.

Suns interest
1/10
Dont like:
The basketball system that will seemingly never die
The majority of the players
The owner
The GM/accountants/basketball people
The culture that seemingly never changes

Not sure what im going to do for sports interest when the NFL is over in about a week.

Out of 100%, I would rate it at 22%. The winter is pretty bad in the Northeast and I find myself watching some games that I would never watch. Overall every game is pretty dull and boring but I still sit through it. I find the sport very unappealing now. Early 2000's to late 90's, the NBA rocked!! Now its just a yawn...

One of either Miami, Boston, LA, or San Antonio will win. Duh...

It's been an exasperating 42 years watching the Suns wimpy defense and rebounding. Last year was the most hopeful in all that time and to see it turn to crap has been nauseating, so my interest is at all time low. Gentry knows the defense sucks but he doesn't seem to realize that he's a big part of the problem - he needs to break with tradition, hire a defensive minded asst then turn the defense over to him. It might save his job.

I'm a glutton for punishment. I still watch every Suns game. My interest in the NBA in general though has declined steadily for several years now. A decade ago I used to watch probably 25 to 30 NBA games a week, now I watch maybe 4.

I have watched quite a few games this year, but I never used to miss any. This isn't the worst Suns team I have ever watched. That team in the eighties that was caught in the drug scandal just imploded during the season. It seemed like the Suns were totally finished as a franchise. We are probably the best team to never win the title. If there's one thing I have learned watching the Suns, they keep righting the ship every time they take on water. I am glad I am not a Clippers or Sac Town fan. Talk about watching some crappy ball. I think part of the problem is the lack of good big men in the NBA. The teams that have really good big men rock, and the rest of the teams just struggle. Unfortunately, we have had a bad history of getting good big men, or just missing out on them.

I haven't missed any games this year, but right now the only games I watch are Suns games. And even now I'm debating cancelling my League Pass subscription because it's so expensive and I still have a couple payments to go.

Ditto... I'm debating the same thing.

I still watch every game. There's always the off chance that the Suns might put together a well-played game from start to finish, and that's still fun to watch though rare these days. But I haven't missed a game this season.

As for NBA in general, I definitely pay a lot less attention to what other teams are up to. The only exception is checking stats for fantasy basketball purposes.

I could be wrong, but I think you can't cancel League Pass, even if you opted for the monthly payment installments.
