Now that the NBA Play-In games have tipped off, we now know when the Detroit Pistons will be starting their 2025 playoff run.
The Pistons are in the playoffs for the first time since 2019, and they're looking to snap an NBA-high 14-game playoff losing streak. They'll be facing off against the No. 3 seed New York Knicks, a team the Pistons beat in three out of four matchups during the 2024-25 regular season.
Our experts predict a high-effort matchup that could lead to a long series, one marked by defensive intensity and the first playoff experience for many key Pistons players.
Here is the schedule for the opening weekend of the 2025 NBA Playoffs:
Wednesday: No. 10 Miami Heat vs. No. 9 Chicago Bulls - 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)
Wednesday: No. 10 Dallas Mavericks vs. No. 9 Sacramento Kings - 10 p.m. ET (ESPN)
Friday: TBD vs. No. 8 Atlanta Hawks - 7 p.m. ET (TNT)
