When does the 2025 NFL draft begin? Here is a look at the dates and times of the event, along with when the Indianapolis Colts will be picking.

The Colts will enter this year's draft with seven total selections, which includes one in each round.

While tight end is the position on the radar of many, other positional needs that GM Chris Ballard will have to address include linebacker, offensive line, and defensive line. Positions like running back and safety could also use some additional depth as well, and don't be surprised if quarterback is also on the Colts' radar.

Given that the Colts have several positions of need where they could use some immediate help, trading down in the first round does make quite a bit of sense for them. In that scenario, they can gain an additional pick or two that'll help further round out this roster. However, as Ian Rapoport described recently, finding a trade partner who wants to move up in Round 1 won't come easily.
