Yeah, and he is made of glass....he is not the answer to our offenses woes. We can't protect him and worse....He knows it.

Does it matter? He'll be hurt within three games just like has was last year and the year before.

At this point, u see what Lindley has to offer. Doing anything else is a complete waste of time for a team not heading to the playoffs

If Kolb is back next week, you go for it, it not, Lindley the rest of the way.

not really sure what the big laugh is about. the season is over, we know what Kolb can do (be mediocre and get injured) and we know what Skelton can do (not play QB), so why bother playing either one of them when you're not going to the playoffs and you're trying to see what you have moving forward?

why? we ain't making the playoffs and you already know what you have in Kolb. A mediocre at best QB who is incredibly injury prone. Why do you go back to what you already know you have in a lost season?

lol. Wasn't the amount of times he was sacked in so many games an NFL record? The line let him get annihilated...

lol... do people not realize that when a guy misses SIGNIFICANT time... in three different years, behind good lines or bad, for a host of COMPLETELY different injuries, that he's just not built to withstand NFL hits? has Todd Heap, Beanie Wells or Ryan Williams proven nothing to you about injured players?

I just don't get how people can think Kolb can EVER be depended on considering the litany of injuries he's been afflicted with every year that he's seen the field.

They way I look at it is this, you beat the Rams and Jets and you are 6-6 and back in it. Both are winnable with this defense and a healthy Kolb. If Kolb is not healthy, then you ride it out with Lindley and see what he can offer. Again, this is only if Kolb is 100% and this week. Now if we win with Lindley, then ask me the question next week. ;)

The only reason I would play Skelton 2.0 is if we are going tankmode, which is essentially what would be happening. I too, am to the point where I believe our season is toast, and I don't even want to rush Kolb back to get strung up behind this line anyways. But I laughed because Lindley, not much there to see. Like Chef Gordon Ramsey would say...."It's RAW!!!" :D I don't see Lindley ever being starting caliber...well, for other teams that is. But ****, fire up the tank, can Grimm, and get an OC for next year. That's all I got amigo.

As a coaching staff you have to know if Kolb is worth the 13 mil he will be owed. You have to determine can this team with better protection and solid defense win games. If determine he can, it changes hw you upgrade the QB position and if not, you know you have to tak esome extreme steps because Skelton is obviously not the answer.

Call me the eternal optimist but given the run before the 6 game losing streak, IF Kolb were able to go next week I'd start him, if we win you hold out hope you regain the form and win the last 6 to finish 10-6.

I know it sounds laughable but the only QB on the roster capable of us winning 6 straight this season is Kolb IMO. Not because he's great, but because he's not as bad as the other two.

If Kolb can't go I'd probably start Skelton with a quick hook again.

I do understand the temptation to start Lindley but he just isn't ready so if you do it you're telling your team we're playing for next year.

NFL calibers QB's can stay healthy for more than eight games a year.
Count how many sacks and hits Kolb took this year before he got injured, then add up other QBs that took fewer hits while getting injured before Kolb, then get back to me. Last year you might have had a point, even though it was still a horrible O-line. He played tough this year, and got creamed getting us a crucial firstdown after WiPo missed his assignment. He was playing to win.

Not sure when Kevin will return, but I feel relatively safe in predicting it will be BEFORE Todd Heap does.

What about the year before with Philly? Even dismissing his fragility in 2012 (which of course conveniently ignores the fact that Skelton is hit just as much while staying healthy), he has missed major parts of the year in both 2010 and 2011. The guy competes hard no question, but his body simply ain't up to it.

and when he played for Philly? come on guys... he got turf toe last year and then literally would have been out for 3 months after getting bonked in the head by a guy jogging past him after that. He didn't take a crushing, face-mask to facemask blow to the head... he got bonked and then was out of it for months. And he continually got hurt with Philly. Three straight years the guy couldn't stay healthy. Make up whatever excuses you want for him, but NFL QBs get hit... and get hit a lot.

sorry Russ, but I do believe the above is laughable.

I also just don't see how awful Lindley was. He had three HUGE drops that would have either extended drives or put us in scoring position. Roberts dropped and short armed a damn near perfect 50 yard bomb. Floyd dropped a 9 yard gain that could have been a first down and definitely would have put us in field goal range and then Fitz dropped a PERFECT fade route pressure throw at the 2 yard line. for a guy in his first playing time... ever... on the road with no prep, and with play-calling designed to limit him as much as possible, I just don't see why people are slamming him like he was Skelton out there. Skelton's the worst QB i've ever seen and that's saying a TON considering what we've seen the last three years.
