First home game after the allstar game most likely.

They will not rush him, next week is a possibility but since we have the allstar weekend coming up, why rush him.

Because they agreed on it and don't want to wait until someone else takes Shaq because they are willing to trade right now and maybe outbid us?

Also will give Shaq some time to buy a house and stuff like that.

Im all for letting Shaq rest through the All Star break, no need to rush things.

As per the press conference, they will evaluate his condition and slowly bring him. Will not rush him. Can be 10 days or more.

I think giving the training staff 2 weeks with him will be incredibly helpful too. They're going to put his body in a much better position to be succsessful than it was over in Miami.

Press conference said they aint gonna rush, he will be staying in town, and will be addressing the press tomorrow.

He has been out for 2+ weeks so far, so I would expect sooner rather than later.

He's already down to 312 lbs. from 325...and he's leaned out a lot. I guess he's going through his own "Shaq's Big Challenge".

That sounds like a bad idea. I think he'd need some times to fit into the system, you don't want him made a fool of in that game and totally take the wind out of the sales of the whole thing.

If he can't play before the All Star break, maybe its best to hold him out until the 26th at Memphis or at least until after the LA game, have the Boston game be his first.

I think the game on the 14th versus Dallas would be good, right before the break, still gives him time to rest, he can play against Dampier which is a natural match up for him, etc.

He's motivated, so he would obviously stay in shape. Ready for another championship run.

Whenever it is, they should take as much time as they need. Shaq is here for the playoffs. As long as he gets worked into the system and gets burn 6 weeks out of the playoffs, it should be fine.

Home court is important, but with the overall strength and depth of the west, any road to the Finals is going to be really tough. So in that regard, regular season record may not be as important this year.

Keep Shaq out until he's for darn sure ready.

Let's see what Strawberry and Tucker can do in Marion's absence. Of course, without Marion and Shaq, watch D'Antoni just play 6 and wear the heck outta everyone.

Phoenix doesn't have a choice just yet whether to put him in or not.
Rules suggest for Phoenix that Shaq can't suit up until Marion and Banks are in Miami with their routine physicals and everything is all squared away.

against the Lakers maybe

highly doubtful. he needs time to adjust to the system before he plays in a big game like that. i fully expect him to play once (at least) before the break. that way they can evaluate what went right/wrong and improve it over the break.
