No surprise here: The Tennessee Titans' answer as to what it will do with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft will be based around quarterbacks.

"You have to look at what does a potential franchise quarterback look like. If you think they’re that good and that type of player, those guys to me are priceless," Titans coach Brian Callahan said from the NFL league meetings in Florida on Monday. "There is no price you could put on those type of players if you think they’re that type of caliber of quarterback. You’ve got to balance those type of things. If there is a price being offered, is that what you want to do? Is the quarterback worth passing on whatever that price would be? I think it’s mainly a quarterback-driven thing more than anything else."

Callahan said the Titans are "probably two weeks away" from finalizing their decision about what they want to do with the No. 1 pick, putting them on schedule to be solidified in their thought process roughly 10 days before the draft begins on April 24. The Titans have spent a lot of time with Miami quarterback Cam Ward in recent weeks, with Callahan and general manager Mike Borgonzi scouting his pro day and visiting him for a private workout. Titans brass will do the same in the coming days with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and WR/CB Travis Hunter, maintaining the idea that the Titans are keeping their options open at No. 1.

But, as Callahan says, this decision is going to come down to quarterback value. If the Titans deem Ward (or Sanders) unassailable as a No. 1 option, they won't pass him up.

"I think the one thing that’s been impressive about Mike (Borgonzi) is he’s very disciplined in his approach and process," Callahan said about eventually arriving at a decision. "I’ve appreciated that. I think he’s going to go through every possible turn before we get to that point."

What about Will Levis, Tennessee Titans other QB options?

Levis remains on roster after starting 21 games over the past two seasons. Titans brass said at the league meetings that they've had no conversations with other teams about trading Levis, and the goal is to let Levis compete for the starting job in training camp.

"I had a very straightforward conversation with him when the season was over and when we were getting ready to leave," Callahan says. "I said, ‘You worry about you. Don’t worry about anything else. Control the things you’re capable of controlling and put the work in for yourself. It doesn’t matter what we do or how we do it. Expect there to be competition.’ I’m excited to see what he looks like when he gets back."

Callahan says he "feels good" about the quarterback talent the Titans have between Levis and journeymen Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle. That, he says, will not have any influence on whether the team drafts a quarterback, though.

Titans injury updates: Treylon Burks, L'Jarius Sneed

Callahan said that Burks, the 2022 first-round pick who's struggled through injuries in each of his first three seasons as a pro, is not likely to be ready for training camp and is expected back closer to the start of the season. He did say he expects Sneed, the high-priced cornerback the Titans traded for in 2024, to be back for camp after missing the last three months of the season with a quad injury.
