Sports Illustrated recently put together an 'all trades' 2025 NFL mock draft. So where did the Jacksonville Jaguars end up, and who did they select?
In this trade scenario, the Jaguars traded back from pick No. 5 to pick No. 7 in a deal with the New York Jets. The Jaguars acquired picks 7, 110, and 145 while Jacksonville parted with only pick No. 5.
Now with that seventh pick, the Jaguars still landed a very popular pick in mock drafts by taking Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham.
It's easy to see why Graham has been such a popular pick in mocks for the Jaguars. Defensive tackle is, of course, a huge need that they have, while Graham is widely considered the top defensive tackle prospect in what is a very deep draft class at that position.
When a defense has a strong interior presence, the impact of that player goes beyond their own column on the stat sheet. When a defensive tackle can generate a steady push, eat up space, and take on blocks, everyone on the defensive side of the ball benefits.
If this scenario were to actually play out for the Jaguars in the NFL draft, I don't know that it would get much better than this. Along with addressing their biggest need with the top prospect at that position, the Jaguars also gained two additional draft picks in the process, allowing them to further add to their roster or providing them with more flexibility to trade up at some point in Rounds 2 or 3.
