We should be the top 6-10 team because we faced the easiest schedule. In the draft easier schedule drafts first, the thinking being you had an easier sos and still won the same number of games as another team, so you must be worse!@!!!!

Because of a good chunk of our season opponents won this week, we didn't have the easiest schedule. The difference for opponent's winning percentage for the teams that were 6-10 wasn't very big at the start of this week. The wins by Seattle, St. Louis, New Orleans, etc this week had a huge impact on where we draft

According to ESPN, as of now we're picking 12th (this pending the results of the Giants/Cowboys game)

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/feature/featureStory?page=nfldraft05

1 San Francisco 49ers 2-14
2 Cleveland Browns 4-12
3 Miami Dolphins 4-12
4* San Diego Chargers 12-4
5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5-11
6 Oakland Raiders 5-11
7 Tennessee Titans 5-11
8 Chicago Bears 5-11
9 Dallas Cowboys 6-9
10 Detroit Lions 6-10
11 Washington Redskins 6-10
12 Arizona Cardinals 6-10

Dont use ESPN's draft order, it is not the correct order yet. It specifically says at the bottom of it, ""Order determined by standings only". they have not used strength of schedule % yet, which will change that order a lot.

As long as we hit on our picks like last years draft I could care less where we picked.

Anybody counting on that could be in for a HUGE letdown, right now it appears this draft will be MUCH weaker than the previous one, it's unlikely we'll get 3 players like Fitz, Dansby and Dockett this year.

It's not in the top 5 - and that's a good thing

Exactly.

Due to the Giants winning tonight it looks like we will be drafting at the 8-9 range and that is something I can definately live with

Yea that's for sure - this yr. won't be that easy as last for blue chippers falling to us at the top of rounds 2 and 3! Not gon-happen.

yeah, we'll do well to get one rookie starter right out of camp this year. maybe 2 tops.

I think they go cb in round 1. The need is that great. Don't be surprised to see a young QB in the 2nd! Or a young RB - look at Dallas taking Julius Jones at around 42 last yr. or Denver tapping Tatum Bell.

I fully expect us to make a couple of major moves in free agency. I have no idea how Green is going to attack this offseason, but I have no doubt he's going to attack. No one has clue who, or what, we'll be drafting right now.

Can someone please copy and paste the order of the top 15 on here? For some reason I can only see last week's predicted order.

Just refresh your screen when you go to it. Same thing happened to me.

I can definitely live with the #8 overall pick. I hope this is correct. Cards will have a shot at a top flight RB or CB if they are picking there- two areas of major need. If they go hard after RB Michael Bennett (which I think they will) then I hope they draft a CB in round 1.

Go Cards/ America!

So I'm guessing a loss yesterday and we would have picked 4th? hard to be sure since a loss increases the strength of schedule for Tampa, probably would have picked 5th. I'd say the win is well worth going down a few slots.

And a heck of a lot cheaper as well

yep, the amount of the rookie cap goes down by about 1 mill. just by going from the 4th pick down to the 8th pick. So it gives us about 1 more mill to spend on a FA.

I'd be very comfortable with a pick in this range. As many good players fall to the middle as top 5 picks who bust. It would be a nice change to have our top pick signed prior to camp for another year.

Last year was a good draft pool, but the Cards also made good picks throughout. I'm confident we can see a rookie contributing next year.
