I just picked this up from the library. Both my son and I recently read the book, so we're really looking forward to watching this.

The last time you were in the library they probably still had card catalogs.

Seriously, the Scottsdale library rocks. I’ve watched about 500 movies over the last few years for free. They have everything from Gladiator to Requiem for a Dream to Metropolis.

I just watched it. This is an awesome story and the book is great. I would really like to see this turned into a “real” movie. My son and I (both of us read the book) were disappointed in this movie. They butchered the book pretty bad.

We have two yellow labs. The male (Rosco) is a huge guy. He goes about 110 pounds. He’s not the brightest rock in the river, but he is very loyal. Our female (Daisy) is pretty small. She goes about 70 pounds. She is very quick and clever.

If you’ve read the book, you’ll understand why we were so into this book.

I've always loved both the book & the movie. I saw the movie first as a kid; if I had been in reverse order I could see myself not liking the movie as much. Growing up, my parents' best friends were named Dan & Ann. I adored both of them. I always wondered if I would have thought as much of them if I hadn't loved the book/movie so much.

must edit my post. I didn't realize that this wasn't the 1974 Where the Red Fern Grows. Haven't seen this one. Shoulda looked at the picture, I guess. The '74 one was probably much better than this one. You should check it out, Bada.
