If the Suns can't put together a hypothetical trade for Butler soon, it may not matter as the Suns slide down the playoff standings.

If this is the case, I'm not sure if it makes sense for next season either, when everyone is a year older.

I never imagined the Suns extending Durant. I thought this year would be the swan song and I was OK moving on if a title didn’t happen. So, I agree it doesn’t makes sense to run this team back again.
