Geoff Hobson, of Bengals.com, reports the Cincinnati Bengals should know by Monday, March 5, whether free agent LB Joey Porter (Steelers) plans to visit with the team.

Someone on here posted a quote from Whis, either at the Super Bowl or the combine, that he didn't want Porter because he didn't think he had much left. Don't know if any of it is true or not.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, WPXI-TV is reporting that linebacker Joey Porter will sign on Tuesday with the Miami Dolphins.

The deal reportedly will be for five years, and will pay a total of $24 million, including a $12 million signing bonus.

However, given recent gaffes by the Tribune-Review, we'll believe this one when we see Porter wearing a Miami uniform.

A television station in Pittsburgh is reporting free agent LB Joey Porter will sign a five-year, $24 million contract with the Miami Dolphins.

The report says Porter will get $12 million to sign, a hefty figure, but this is a great addition to coordinator Dom Capers' defense. Porter, 30 in March, should still have three-to-four quality years left and is a big upgrade over Donnie Spragan. Miami could still add linebacker help in the draft.
