No surprise I pick Warmack, but Dion Jordan is really intriguing. Why? Because he is a good all-around OLB'er in my opinion. Has played in a 3-4, and played OLB, so he is more polished and ready to go.

I like having pass rushing specialist, but I noticed, at least with the Cardinals, having two good balanced OLB'ers is more effective then a pass rusher that is poor at everything else, like O'Brien Schofield.

And I like Schofield for his role, not as a full time starter.

This is how I feel. Jordan would be a huge upgrade and he is balanced. Doubt he will be there when we pick.

Also, guards can be had in later rounds, you won't find a Dion Jordan past the first 10 picks.

Has Arthur Brown ever played in a 3-4 D?

I regularly update my 38-player mock based on rumors, disinformation, player visits etc.

As of 10-minutes ago, I had all three top OT's and Warmack plus Jordan and Milliner off my board when we drafted. This left Cooper, J Jones, Lotuleilei, Floyd and Werner near the top of my board.

I opted to go with Werner (close to Jones as a pass rusher, but with less medical risk).

By the time I got to #38, the top remaining OL's on my board were Warford, Quessenberry and Schwenke (& I guess a case could be made for B Jones, Frederick or Armstead). The only QB's off the table were Geno and Barkley, so Tyler Wilson, Manuel, Landry-Jones were an option). And we need quality over numbers at safety, and Swearinger and Cyprian were possibilities.

What to do? Who'd be the BPA (& if we went that route, would we be screwing ourselves on the OL yet again)?

After toying with Swearinger (whom I really like a lot), I chickened out and went with Quessenberry (because he can play tackle, guard or center).

If, in the Cardinal War Room, the grades for any of the QB's were off the charts, I could see Keim turning in the card for T Wilson, Manuel or whomever.

Or we could take the risk that Matt Scott would be available at the top of the next round or two and (in light of our "elite" QB room) not consider a QBOF that high a priority anyway should Scott be snapped up.

Think about it - each round has its own unique narrative - Round One will set the tone for what we do in subsequent rounds. Round Two will involve some very tough decisions involving roster-holes and BPA philosophy. Rounds 3 or 4 may be where we decide on whether we want to draft a QBOF after all.

If you replaced Jones/Arthur with say Jaime Collins/Okafer, then at least I would of had to debate my choice before I made it.

Not much of a size difference between Brown and Jarvis Jones. Heck, only 14lbs between Collins who I believe is 250 and Brown 236.

Size is only part of it. First, Brown is a ILB by trade, with little to no experience on the outside even in a 4-3 D. Compared to Collins and Jones who both have a ton of experience on the outside with their hands on the ground or even playing DE, both have proven to be highly productive in those rolls at their prospective sizes. Second, he actually measured in at 6 foot nothing and 236 pounds. He weight a little more at the combine because he wasn't able to work out for a while and the reason why he waited until his proday to put his skills up against the clock. He is more a Daryl Washington/Lawrence Timmons(with more toughness) type then anything else. If we didn't have Washington I would love to have Brown, heck maybe even next to Washington, but in no way would I like this guy at OLB in a 3-4. I could not justify taking a 6-0, 236 pound LB who has never played the position with 1 sack to play our 3-4 OLB. Especially in the 2nd round. If we were talking about this guy as a project to move positions in the 5th or 6th round then its a different story.

James Harrison was 6'nothing and weighed 244lbs.

Von Miller was 6'2 237 at the Senior Bowl and is listed the same on both NFL.com and cbs.sports.com.

Some players are exceptions to the rule (I normally advocate for the rule), and Arthur Brown is the exception.

As far as his experience playing as a 3-4 OLB, most college players don't have any either. It is one of the reasons Jarvis Jones is ranked higher than Arthur Brown in rankings. But, again, if I was taking an 3-4 in the first two rounds it would go Dion Jordan, Arthur Brown, and Cornellius Carradine.

Chance Warmack (IMO) is the best football player in this draft. I like Dion Jordans size and speed, but the production bothers me. With Chance Warmack, you not only have a guy with the perfect size and arm length, but also a guy that has shown on tape he is a monster all season. I'd have to go with getting Warmack and whoever in the 2nd.

If I had it my way though, I'd take Chance in the first and Kyle Long in the second. Say hello to you two starting Guards.

Whatever draft guide you are reading is crazy of they don't take into account that he played injured last year. He was injured and he tried to play through it with mixed results. It doesn't change the fact that he is a rare athlete who has experience playing in space which translates well into playing as a OLB in the 3-4.

Kind of a moot point however as he will be drafted #2 by the Jaguars.

In the end, it doesn't matter. I can't see Brown getting out of round 1.

I can see the Ravens taking him at 32.
