I was wondering which cities )or states) in USA (Ok,let's include Canada as well despite Vancouver Grizzlies haven't worked) should have an NBA team?
They will move Supersonics from Seattle, which I think is actually sad since a team should represent Seattle.

How about San Diego?San Jose?Vegas?Or the state Ohio?Maryland?

Or which cities should not?Like Memphis?

Ohio has a team. san jose doesn't need a team, the warriors aren't far at all. San diego used to have a team and it didn't work out.

I would like to see the Magic move to Tampa, but that's only so I could watch the Suns play once a year without having to drive very far.

wow, didn't know about san diego.how about a 2nd team in arizona:)?

san diego used to have the clippers, then they went to L.A for one reason or another. Before arizona gets a second team, new york will get one. That state has 3 football teams for crying out loud. Other than Phoenix, there really isn't another city big enough for a sports team.

Well, I think the smaller places that have no professional teams need to be looked at more. Here in Oklahoma City for example. :D

But seriously it's a great place to run a franchise because there's not a LOT of competition. Utah and San Antonio are good examples. But I hate the Spurs.

I think Atlanta would be a good city for a professional team.

I'd like to see Las Vegas get a team.

You could call them the "strippers" or "racketeers" or something :D

Definitely Oklahoma City. They showed great support to the Hornets.

I don't think the NBA should expand though. At least not for the next several years. There are enough teams. If the Sonics or Grizzlies want to move, then fine.

How about El Paso and El Paso Mariachis?
Yes,Vegas team might be fun but not sure there ll be a lot of supporters.
Maybe they don't have Vegas team because of game betting stuff?

El Paso would be great for me, since I live only thirty miles away, but I don't think the city has the size and money to support a team.

OK city certainly does not deserve a team. Seattle should be given back a team before any other city gets an NBA franchise

Considering the situation with the Sonics, I would put Seattle 1st on the list. California needs another team like most of us need a gaping chest wound. California has the Lakers, Clippers, Kings and Warriors. Isn't that enough?

St. Louis is actually a pretty good call as well.

what is with the infatuation with putting a team in OK!?

of course they showed support, the question is, when their team doesnt win more than 30 games 4 years from now, will they continue to come out?

AND on that note, why do we need more teams? the league seems to be watered down enough as it is.

If I was made emperor of the NBA, I'd keep the Sonics in Seattle where they belong. I'd pull the Hornets out of New Orleans, they weren't being supported before Katrina, and now its really tough for that city to support them. I guess it makes me a heartless monster, but ah well. I'd move them to either Oklahoma City or Las Vegas.

I'd also move the LA Clippers (who will always be 2nd fiddle to the Lakers) back to San Diego. I know it didn't work out initially with them there, but San Diego has grown a ton, and could definitely use a team to bridge the gap between the Chargers and Padres season.
