I picked Young only because of his potential speed on the basepaths.

I can honestly, without being a biased homer here, see him having a 20-20 season in '07.

Voted Drew. He's already shown he's good w/ the glove, and can be consistent from the plate. I think Quentin may hit a good number of dingers, but struggle w/ his average. I hope Chris Young can maintain a good average and become a solid leadoff hitter, the Dbacks really need more speed and he'll help.

I voted Young because of his defense and speed on the base paths.

Biggest immediate impact -- I think Drew is ahead of the others in his ML development right now.

Down the road. I'll still go with Drew as The Best of the Best (hopefully they'll all be better than OK).

I voted for Young. If he can get on base and use his speed, that should help in the runs category. Also, his defense should save the team a few runs also. I'm figuring with his speed and defense, that will add a few more wins the club gets than without him in the lineup.

Drew is going to always be a guy who we will expect to be average to above average.

Young on the other hand we should expect a lot from. The guy has so much speed and power. He should have a ton of extra base hits...

I went with Young for biggest impact next year. He will be our first TRUE base stealer..

Since Tony Womack for about a year and a half.

Tony Womack was a disgusting excuse for a leadoff hitter. His highest OBP as a DBacks was .332. For two years he had a .307 OBP...

So in his 4 years here, I only consider one to be solid. (His first season in which he had the .332 OBP and stole 72 bases).

That was what I was referring to.

('cepting a couple of choice hits in the 2001 Playoffs and World Series.)

I think Drew is going to be the biggest star in the future but at the moment I think that Young's base path speed and defense will translate into more of an impact than Drew's hitting. Drew has enormous potential but I feel more comfortable with Young's glove than Drew's (who makes spectacular plays but has more errors)...so Young gets the nod.
