I can't even believe this was a serious question by the op...

There are 18 other NFL teams on 12/28/14 wishing they were where we are now. 11-5 and in the playoffs.

Oh well. Call me what you want. I for one am not happy with the way this team has played for weeks. It goes without saying that I'm happy they're in the playoffs, but I want wins not showings.

I want a team that can show some semblance of an offense and not crap the bed in two of its biggest games of the year. Granted by the 4th this game was meaningless, but last week and this week are real let downs. This coupled with the crap performance in ATL. Hell we know the QB position is a train wreck, but the defense the past few weeks has been run over consistently.

Why can't you get it through your cement head that injuries happen? Our offense has sputtered the last few weeks because we're down to our 4th quarterback. My God you're either being extremely obtuse here or you're intellectually dishonest. It can be a little of both but it can't be neither.

I'm 77 and have been following the Cards since 1947. And this year has been one of our best. EVER. Our injuries have been above and beyond, but they are something we have no control over. And win or lose Saturday, I'll remember this season with pride. And hope for the future.

Which is exactly what we have going on here. No ones happy about it. No one wants it, but it is. We are starting a QB in the playoffs who wasnt even good enough to make the final 53 to start the season. End. Of. Story.

You can be sick about it (probably a bit of hyperbole, no?) or you can rally and remember how amazing this team played until it simply couldnt take another punch. Id much prefer a championship, but under the circumstances and the walls of isht that were thrown at us this season, Im proud as hell.

I will take a playoff bid, and 11 wins every time.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this season, every bit of it.

Our team gave us many smiles this year. IMO our offense looked good on so did Lindley. We have a game this week end that we can win. We missed Foote yesterday as another key to our team goes down. Imagine in the pre season someone said yup I guarantee 11 wins and a playoff berth. How many would have believed.

I've loved this season. One of the most exciting seasons we've had and showed a lot of guts and determination. Eventually, there were no men left to be next man up.

Hey Mods how about a ban here, he is personally attacking another poster.

:ban:

Good luck with that. The mods have been slack lately. I've been called a "loser" by BR549 several times & nothing is done. I have thick skin so it doesn't bother me much considering the source. ;)

If the same ol' Cards showed their ugly heads this season, people would be laughing at us as usual but for the most part, everyone who sees me out wearing my Cardinal hat tells me that they feel sorry for us this season. We've been the darlings of the football world this season as I think a lot of people were rooting for us to be the first team to play a SB in their home stadium. We've gained a lot of respect the last 2 seasons.

Maybe where you are. In Tennessee this morning I hear boy your Cards sure folded down the stretch. They couldn't even beat the falling apart Niners.

Idiots have no idea what is going on with them of course. I make sure to remind them about their Titans and Vols though.

Jeez us this thing has gotten sideways. The last thing I'll say on this is that this was under no circumstances a question of whether or not I would take the 2012 versus the 2014 year nor was it some sort of slight against our current team or their efforts with an injury riddled squad.

This has been a fun season beyond a shadow of a doubt. The feelings I was trying to express were that these last few weeks were in some ways a worse feeling than 2012. Why? Because there was never a true sense that that team could win or even compete for a championship in 2012. Their 4-0 start while fun masked a lot of holes.

This teams performance was a bit more expected, and especially after they were 8-1 and coming off a 10-6 year with a finish of like 7-2 last year. It is just maddening to watch this inept offense and a season be derailed by a freak non contact injury and all the other crap.

Someone mentioned earlier that maybe my expectations were unrealistic. That may be the case, but that was only because of what the team was accomplishing on the field. Better performance means increased expectations.

This could end up being one of the greatest Cardinal teams that never was and that is in my eyes a worse feeling. Am I happy for the playoffs? You bet your ass I am but I'm preparing for the worst.

Then people in Tennessee are clueless. We didn't "fold" without a fight. Considering we lost not 1 but 2 QB's, I'd say we went down fighting.

By any logic, 31 of the 32 teams end the season disappointed. Just imagining what any other team in the league would have done missing the parts we're missing will leave me with a sense of pride in the team this season, even if we fall short in the playoffs. No one is satisfied with struggling down the stretch, but damn, what else can anyone do?

Not much different than 2008 where the Cardinals went 2-4 the last 6 weeks getting destroyed by New England, Minnesota, and Philadelphia, and they had Kurt Warner. So you could argue even that ending was worse.

You damn right I'm going to complain about settling for a participation trophy. I want a championship not a pat on the back. Excuses are for losers.

But we started 3-0 this year. Then when the next 6.. And were going to the playoffs.. I don't understand why we have to talk about 2012..
