I want to see a whole new coaching staff and a QB of their choice and a QB taken early in the draft.

Not an option. I did that on purpose.

Easy Palmer as the starter and Gabbert as the backup. Gabbert through three games has shown what his problem is and that's simply he does not have a quick twitch reaction to what he sees. He has a strong arm, quick release and can read a defense but he is just not fast enough bringing that quick cannon of his to follow through. It's a game of inches and therefore seconds which cause him to lose out. It's frustrating because his actually release is almost as fast as Warner but he can't seem to get to the trigger quick enough... guess you could say he has a problem multitasking, but he is still better than Stanton and a quality backup while Stanton actually would later be a great QB coach in my opinion

Blaine proved to me today he sucks. We are not a playoff team next year so I have zero interest in Palmer moving forward. Thank you for your time and efforts.

Neither will take us anywhere, other than maybe a one-and-done playoff cameo. Just go out and get our guy for the future in the draft. There is no way around that.

Add no one on the team today. That's my pick. I did like to see some mobility at QB. Now we just need a QB that can do something with it.

I voted gabbert. Stupid huh? No it isn’t. We are not winning next year so why tie up 20 million of salary cap on Palmer? Draft a Qb and start rebuilding this team. Gabbert with a better supporting cast , dj returning and a couple of decent wr’s will keep us competitive on offense. As for the defense, that’s a whole other thread.

Between those 2 Palmer no contest. Gabbert is not a winning starting QB option. I would be OK with Gabbert being back up over Stanton.

BUT, like others, I would rather see an entirely new QB crew next season.

Gabbert because that means we actually got a QBOTF and Palmers ass isn’t choking our cap anymore.

Doesn't mean it isn't flawed. Many haven't voted in it for this reason.

Then they don't vote. Ohh well.

The reason I set up this poll is that, barring injury, the starting QB is going to be one of the two and not a rookie QB, and both represent not only a talent difference, but also a fundamental difference in how the front office/coaching staff will proceed with the near future of the entire program.

Carson Palmer, the better quarterback, represents a commitment to trying to win football games and, "going for it one more time."

Blaine Gabbert, the lesser talented quarterback, represents a commitment to a rebuild/retool and also a focus on getting younger at the position.

A rookie is simply not a choice as this team won't start a rookie Week 1 and would be a flawed option. This doesn't mean that moving forward that the a rookie won't start, but rather, what's the position of the team on opening day?

I want Gabbert starting the first 8 games then our first round rookie. I think its time to move on from Palmer and bring in our QBOTF. The huge money that we would save on Palmers contract can bring in several top players in free agency. Draft a Wr in the second round to grow with our new QB and let him hand the ball off to David Johnson and AP all year.

Why?

That’s just pointless & wastes everyone’s time.
