Just horrible. Had ball on 6" line with 1st down and 29 seconds left in game and 2 TOs, and settles for FG to send game into overtime instead of winning it right there. passed 2 out of the three plays at the goal line instead of pounding it in with his FB/RB blast or even a QB sneek or dive over the top from 6".

The guy really screwed the Chargers today and probably cost them making the playoffs with this loss.

Far out.

Just realize, of course, that if Rivers completes one throw, Wiz gets hailed as a freakin' genius.

(You know, Big Al from Oakland may have been onto something).

If you say so. Dude has called superb games most of the year with that Chargers O. I would say the Chargers D completely collapsing on the first drive of OT cost the Chargers the game.

"Smart, disciplined football" with an extra side dish of stubbornness. He, Grimm and Rod Graves left the current staff without a QB, the worst O-line in football, no tight end and no outside linebackers. You can't fix that in a year and we are .500. I am glad that he is gone

I think it's sad that some people can't simply bury the hatchet with this guy while he's trying to revive his career with another organization.

Dude took us to the Superbowl and put the best product on the field we've ever seen in AZ, while raising fans' expectations (oddly enough, the only reason why people are complaining).

Those positives events are the fond memories I choose to keep. Leave him be.

:biglaugh: seriously? Lets keep throwing spears at the greatest HC in Cards history...& that's a longggggg history! Wiz was 2 mins from being immortal in Cardinal land.

With a real GM, he'd still be here & we'd still be a perennial playoff team.

It's funny how bad his scheming and Haley's scheming became after they were without Kurt Warner, especially considering Warner recently admitting he was too heavily leaned upon to come up with weekly game plans.

Hogwash! Name another successful offensive team with a bad NFL QB?
The 2 go hand in hand & that's the reality of it.

I don't believe that. He did a pretty good job of pissing off half the team last year.. To the point some were going to ask for trades.. That has nothing to do with him having a real GM..

Do you have any links supporting this notion and accusation?

He did run it the first play and the RB was stuffed. I guess if he called 3 runs and they were all stuffed, you'd be complaining they didn't try to get the ball to their 2 best playmakers, Gates and Allen. Oh wait, they did do that on 2nd and 3rd down.

Of course you forgot to metion the plays call that SD ran in the 2 minute drill to put them in a poistion to win.

The original post is beyond stupid. Whiz has done wonders in SD this year. Anybody that knows a lick of football can see that.

Really? You don't remember Jurecki and other reporters talking about it? Dockett was one of them.. Beanie checked out before the end of the season saying he was auditioning..

You are kidding, right? Look what the Eagles did to the Raiders this afternoon with a 2nd string QB, and then think back on how the Chargers did at Oakland, especially on offense.... they got hammered in case you forgot.

Allow me to go over the last 3 plays the chargers ran from the 6 inch line:
1. Instead of putting in their big back, who had 2 straight 100 yd games leading up to this one, they run their 5'8" small back up the middle from a single back formation.
2. They then send in their big back along with their FB to only fake a run and throw an incomplete fade pass.
3. They roll out their "slow as a turtle" QB and throw an incomplete pass into the end zone.

It appears play 1 and two were to surprise the D by doing the opposite of what your would expect. From the 6" line.....are you kidding me. Just power it in. You don't need to try and fool anyone from that position on the field. Whiz looked like an idiot today after that scenario.

Yep. GREATEST coach ever in the history of the Arizona Cardinals. No one else is close, until they take us to the Super Bowl as well.

No one is ever wrong in hindsight.

I suspect the Chargers would've done a hell of a lot worse with you calling plays than with Whisenhunt.

Dockett gave up on YOUR BOY Horton! Who gives a rats ass what Beanie thought?

Hes not even in the league a year later and was ranting because he was benched. (He NEEDED to be benched)

So where is the link about 1/2 the team?? you named a whopping two and one don't count. The other barely counts.

Refresh my memory. Wasn't that after Beanie screwed up a play and cost us a game?

People don't audition when they're successful. If Jay Z auditions I'm the Queen of England.
