Dockett gave up on YOUR BOY Horton! Who gives a rats ass what Beanie thought?

Hes not even in the league a year later and was ranting because he was benched. (He NEEDED to be benched)

So where is the link about 1/2 the team?? you named a whopping two and one don't count. The other barely counts.

Said he pissed off half the team, not that half the team were going to ask for trades.. Half the tam team meaning i dont have an exact number, a figure of speech, but quiet a few.. And just because you don't like the two, doesn't mean it it wasn't bad.. Todd Heap gave up half way thru the season.. These are all reflective of the head coach..

Refresh my memory. Wasn't that after Beanie screwed up a play and cost us a game?

People don't audition when they're successful.

It doesn't really matter what Beanie did, it matters how the head coach handled it.. And he apparently handled it badly if a player is going to say that to the media during the season..

Hindsight is for haters. If Whis runs it 3 straight times and does not score, then he is an idiot for being so stubborn with the running plays and you will say he should have surprised them by passing. Hindsight is 20-20. He is coaching in the NFL, where are you going to work tomorrow?

Whiz has been running the ball more than ever and it has been paying off for the whale's vagina, but Whiz does love him some pass. Like everybody in here said, if the passes would have resulted in a TD, Whiz would be looking pretty good right now. If he had ran the ball 4 straight times (that wouldn't happen on a Whiz team :D) and not gotten in (that wouldn't happen BTW) then Whiz would look like he did when failing with the pass plays.

Whiz got us to a Bowl, so I can't bump on the man to hard.....but....
Whiz should have been a life guard at a pool, he sure doesn't like it when folks run. :p

Coach Mac's Rams did an awful job today too. I don't know when these teams are going to figure it out, these guys got fired from the Cardinals because they are completely inadequate, they belong a street corner holding a cardboard sign, not in football. Its just not jake to hire former cardinals coaches. Never will be.

Sure, if it was just Beanie.. But when a coach has multiple players pissed off..

You didn't answer my question. Besides have you ever been in a management position? You can't please everyone. You'll go down trying.

Come on. Don't be afraid to call a spade a spade. Those calls on the goal line were terrible. They got what they deserve. A loss.

But great when they work! You did see them get stuffed on 1st & goal right? 4 runs into the line & you would be saying the same Clif...easy to second guess.

Yeah and that was the dumbest call. You got light ass woodhead running into the line with no fullback.

If it works he's a genius, if not, the usual suspects will criticize. We are all experts after the fact. Everyone has 20-20 hindsight.

Look. I'm not a Whisemhunt hater. I was merely saying that if Whis had a GM he would have been ok.. He had other faults too..

And we all know where Beanie is.. Didnt think you really needed a response to that..

Great to see some people still are in love with Whiz. What about putting in Danny Woodhead to try and smash it in on 1st down? Whiz once again trying to be cute and not go to Matthews because he is for whatever reason still in the Whiz Doghouse. Whiz has been trying to make Woodhead take over all season.

Clearly you don't pay much attention to the Chargers. Matthews is a know fumbler especially in critical times.

Plus, they were in a passing formation, like they had been the entire drive, and tried to catch the defense off guard.

Teams do it all the time. It's no different than lining up in a running formation and play action passing to the TE, which they did on 2nd down.

If you want to see a questionable play call, look no further than "offensive genius" Sean Payton and the play he ran on 4th and short late in the 4th quarter. They ran a fake handoff, pitch back reverse to, I think a TE. It got stuffed for a 3 yard loss.

I guess Payton should be fired too. That play HAD to singlehandedly cost them the game .

In other words, like any OC, he tried to catch the defense offense guard but the defense made a play. Happens every week, both ways.

Just horrible. Had ball on 6" line with 1st down and 29 seconds left in game and 2 TOs, and settles for FG to send game into overtime instead of winning it right there. passed 2 out of the three plays at the goal line instead of pounding it in with his FB/RB blast or even a QB sneek or dive over the top from 6".

The guy really screwed the Chargers today and probably cost them making the playoffs with this loss.

Not just the first one this season...!!! Good old Whizin stupid. :bang:

The Chargers HC McCoy was involved with these key calls at the very end of the game. Let's not throw the blame completely on Whisenhunt. This is taken from the San Diego UT newspaper:

A half-dozen times, McCoy was asked different ways to talk about the thinking by he and offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt on that goal-line series. Every time, McCoy gave a variation of the same answer -- that he would not second-guess the play calling.

“If one of those three plays worked, there would be no questions asked,” McCoy said.

Bottom line is the HC McCoy is as responsible as the OC Whisenhunt.

Good theory, but Mathews has 1 fumble this season (1 Lost) and Woodhead has 2 fumbles (2 lost).

It's not a theory it's a fact. The kid has 13 fumbles in his short career many at critical points in the game ie near the goal line. Just like his 1 this year. He can't be trusted. If you don't think that plays a factor I don't know what to tell you. Nobody denies he's talented. But a fumbler is a fumbler!

it's so odd to me how much some Cards fans hate Wiz. I was definitely in the camp who thought it was time to move on, but the guy is the ONLY coach in team history that won back to back division titles, won 4 playoff games, a Conference Title and had us within minutes of winning the freaking Super Bowl!

Not to mention that for all his warts personnel wise, he was at the head of the snake when we drafted three of the best four defensive players in Az Cardinals history with Campbell, Washington and Peterson.

I mean, you'd think the guy was Buddy Ryan or Dennis Green with some of the vitriol sent his way.
