Whisenhunt fired by Chargers

It's been well documented via KW interviews that he and Todd Haley basically ad-libbed most of the offense. Had it been left to Whis - well, his coaching career speaks for itself.

That was the first year Haley called the offense. The year prior, Whisenhunt called the offense and it was pretty good.

Whisenhunt is a solid play caller if everything works, but I don't think he is good working around average QB play.

actually, it was Matt Lienart that is responsible for that run. Haley and whiz were his puppets.

You can argue all you want on who did what but for me the bottom line is that Whisenhunt gave the Cards some of our best years ever. In fact the Super Bowl year was the best the Cards had since the 1940's. When things go well the HC gets the credit and blame when they don't. I totally agree with Shane on KW's role.
