and others have told me that they are already looking to trade him for h. ward (which is a poor trade for us imo).

We already have Hines Ward. His name is Anquan Boldin. lol

Yep, when they;re out of it and he's a FA. He showed 'pride' for a big pay day. Why couldn't he play that way when it counts and play like that ALL YEAR?

Actually Ken brought that up saying that many people will claim he was just playing hard to get a big payday in Free Agency. However Ken specifically said that he felt that wasn't the case and that Big showed a lot of dicipline and pride in those meaningless games because that was the type of person he is. That is why he is meeting with Big face to face in the near future.

I also heard the interview, nice recap by MadCardDisease. They also asked about Larry Fitzgerald stating that Denny was his Godfather and he was disappointed in his firing. KW perfectly understood and was not concerned. Said he met him when he was attending Pittsburgh Univeristy and already then had a reputation for a strong work ethic. Jokingly said that he wll be spending so much time with him and the offense that Fitz will be tired of seeing him.

Thanks, I totally forgot about that part!

I wonder if any of these are worth going after. I'm sure that KW and Grimm have a good feel for these guys skills.

They asked Ken what his plans were for Free Agency:

Ken replied that the only position they really need to look at was WR. Which of course got a good laugh.

Great to hear he has a sense of humor! Smart, direct and funny. I'm definitely looking forward to this coming season. :fans:

Great recap!

I liked hearing what he had to say about Davis and Fitz. I hope all that means that Davis is likely to be back.

He was on NFL Radio today too, and a few things he said:

1. They asked if you kick to Hester and he says "absolutely not" then talks about the CHI/AZ game and how we kicked to Hester and what happened. The hosts joke with him saying that helped him get his current job.

2. He had talked with Matt on the phone a great deal so far, and loves him. However, he hadn't met him face to face yet. Then, he was in Miami and there was a car stuck in traffic where he was walking, and it was Matt. They talked for a bit and he thought it was funny the first time he talked to Matt in person was in Miami for the Super Bowl. He also said "I sure hope Pete Carroll didn't screw him up too much at USC" and had a laugh on that.

3. He may come on the show weekly during the season...they wanted him to and I guess he did when the Steelers won the Super Bowl so he considers their morning show to be good luck. :)

4. He said good teams need three things....a good defense, a good QB and a good offensive line. Everything else can fall into place but if you have that, you will win a lot of games.

No THAT is interesting...lloking at it in that light, it makes the Cardinals' balance sheet look out of balance.

We have a lot of talent/money at WR and RB.

Makin' it to the BIG RED RAGE once or twice would be tight too.

Thats the kind of coaching style I like .. meet face to face just like he will do with Fitz .. none of the media games Denny liked to play ... and of course his silent treatment and doghouse ...
